Does anyone here still not like Miles as LSU head coach?

Just curious if there's a few stragglers left.

Only a few will admit it still.

I like miles as long as he has good coordinators. Case in point, durring the Mal-veto era, I wanted him out

This applies to most coaches. Good coaches have good people around them.

I agree. What I mean is Miles is good players coach. The kids love this guys and would do anything he asks them to do. But when it comes to personel and game mangagement I feel better with guys like Chavis handling it.

I like Miles. I'd still trade for Saban in a heartbeat.

I always love this one. You will always have clueless guys on here that think they know everything about football, and it doesn't matter if Les goes 14-0 with the NC....they still will not give HIM credit and will make excuses for why he is successful. Such as great talent/coordinators, etc....like that isn't all part of the HC responsibility. People who believe like this are the real idiots in life, and that is the truth. It takes a man to step up and admit when wrong...instead of making excuses.

I've said for years miles plays favorites now watching Lee play havn't you asked why was jj starting?
The response on the rant has always been he's coach he knows what he's doing.
The truth I'd the only reason miles won was great D coordinators and the ease of recruiting at lsu!

Ahh yes, the good ole LSU is easy to recruit at excuse. Yeah, Miles is just laying back and waiting for all of the recruits to come to him.

Thanks for pointing out that you don't know shite about football.

LOL...another genius...very, very intelligent. Even though Miles will have a better overall record (yes I'm predicting this is a special LSU team) and will have finished in the top 10 in 5 out of 7 seasons at LSU...all-time winning %, etc.....there will ALWAYS be idiots on here that can't see past public speaking...lol...I feel for you kid...when you graduate, you will be one of those that are duped easily by smooth talk....

quote:He's done a fantastic job of getting the right coordinators and making change when needed. We can argue the Crowton move took too long but there were other factors, mainly QB play. Les has also changed coordinators with dignity and cared about the way those guys departed and appeared to make sure they'd be ok professionally as well. I love this dude. I'll take him with all his faults and quirks over any coach in the country.

I love me some Miles, and have from day one. Even a blind hog finds an acorn every now and then.

Great post.
How is this a great post. He took my post and ran off on a completely different tangent. I never said I would not give Miles credit for winning. I said he needed good coordinators. The 2 recent down years we had were b/c our coordinators where bad. If Miles had one a NC with Malveto, I would have crowned him the king, but it wouldn't be any different if he won it with Chavis.

His actual truth is that he is young, un-educated, and literally has no clue. Most of these kids on here are still young and naive, and the "smooth talk" of saban clouds their judgement about coaching success. Both Saban and Miles are extremely successful with different styles. If this year goes as expected, Miles, who is already more successful at LSU than saban, will be at the top of the coaching ladder in terms of success. However, the media will not recognize that, except for the ones who actually know football. It's much like the political media.....spin....and the sad truth is that most of the kids on this site haven't had enough life experience to figure it out yet.......both coaches are highly successful....the difference is in character.....I know who i take.

doubtful. most can't see past losing to Kentucky in 2007. losing to Arkansas in 2007 with a guaranteed appearance in the NC if you win. and, then add in all of the plays/games that have ended in wild fashion with the team looking like they are completely unprepared and have no idea what they are doing.
IMO, it is unexusable to have the team wandering around like chicken's with their heads cut off: i.e., Ole Miss, Tennessee, Auburn, etc.
The team looks sloppy half of the time and we have lost games because of it. And, this is a direct reflection of Les Miles.
I happen to think his "public speaking" is all an act. He is very intelligent.
