explain why multiple people from different walks of life were telling a similar story. you keep acting like da struck out on his own, concocted a fish story and it looked completely different than what actually went down, all of which is untrue.

this is really baffling you isn't it?

Because it only takes one person to put it in writing for another to repeat it. You get the rest.

Considering there clearly wasn't a done deal, considering no coordinators were ever selected, etc. I'm going to disagree with you.

It's baffling that so many are defending a snake oil salesman, yes.

To me, a done deal is one where everyone has signed on the dotted line.

I believe they really got uncomfortable with the money, because of LSU and the states financial situation.. even though the money wouldn't come from them! So stupid, but they cared about how it would look. So stupid.. and the public/media crying for Les didn't help either. What a mess.

I just believe they couldn't get Jimbo.

If you're on a college football team, period, no matter what your position on any depth chart, it has to be significant to miss a game.

I am stating my stance on a back room deal that folks seem certain was going down. Yes, I am special because I am an independent thinker.

This is exactly correct.

Was he?

Ben was on the field with Les, I'm pretty sure.

But Manny and Ben have grown to look more and more alike over the years.

Can't speak for all positions, but I've sat at games with back up punters that were currently on a roster and not injured. He is the scout QB, no chance he'd play.

Yep. That was the most telling sign to me that something was up

So you're saying that Les Miles believed he was being fired simply because it was said in the media? Really?

So am I, but if you don't believe there was a deal in the works to replace Miles with Jimbo you're more special than you think.

It is obvious that something was going on or it wouldn't have been a farewell to Miles party on the field after the game. Miles and his family, and the players acted like it was his last game. Why would they act like that?

Because they bought into the rumors/the media circus like many folks did. And, that was even though, "sources" reported that Jimbo had already (before our game) confirmed with the Prez of FSU that he wasn't going anywhere. It also appears to me that other coaches weren't breaking down fences to get the job which is interesting.

My own "source" said last Sunday that while the job was in jeopardy, no decision or announcement would be made until after the ATM game and that's what happened. I'll gladly provide you with the name of my "source" privately, if you desire.
