you may not be aware of this but, this doesn't prove anything. this is just speculation on your part - the telephone game. go ahead, prove that all the people who had a similar story were wrong.

It sounds exactly like you are saying the reason why Les' family came down on the field, flown in, carried off the field, etc. was because of the media.

Hell, Les even said in his press conference that he did not learn he was going to be coaching next year until after the game. You think he was assuming all this based on the media, and nothing from anyone other than media had been discussed with him?

Did you see the question mark at the end, implying I was just making a guess? Because it seems like you didn't.

CLEARLY, the Jimbo deal wasn't as secure as they thought

Agreed.

For one thing, there's no evidence that anyone at FSU has concerned about this.

No counteroffers, no talk of extensions. If you believe the DALSU chain of events is to believe that FSU more or less didn't care if Jimbo walked and he has been reduced to pretty much "settling" and crawling back to them with his tail tucked between his legs.

prove that. prove that all the people who were telling a similar story got it from one made up source

Kind of like DALSU?

LNCH, he was working with valid intel. Even saying done deal was understandable with the traction the thing had.

Youre pissed and I get it, but try not to demonize him.

Anyone preaching the "Les is going nowhere" narrative had to be operating under the idea that nothing was going on, not any foreknowledge that a deal would fall through.

At the end of the day, this is still a message board and ultimately, the people who frequent this place need to decide on their own who and what to believe.

Let it go, life will be easier.

So you're speculating that the only reason Les was carried off the field, said his goodbyes, flew in family, and stated that he didn't know he was staying until after the game was due to the media rumors?

And you expect everyone in this thread to now to give your "opinion" credibility about DALSU being full of shite, when you speculate the above?

Seriously?

no, I expect people to see that DALSU's details didn't happen to give it credibility.

No, which is why I didn't claim as much. You can try to boom me on this all you want. One person made speculations, and it wasn't me.

Why does he have to come and eat crow?

A number of posters want people to post when they have potential inside information. When someone does it may or may not be accurate and it certainly can change. It is on the reader to handle this information and the best approach would be to read as information only and believe nothing. Howeve a number of people act like there is certainty in these message boards and then want to rake people over the coals when a situation changed. What a joke.

I appreciate what people share and want them to keep doing it. I have enough maturity to know how to manage the information. Who takes pride in saying I told you so and calling people out like this, children do.

The fact that you really do think none of this ever was in contention is pretty telling. Miles' mannerisms alone were enough to make anyone believe he was gone. Your constant bashing of people who may or may not know more than you is unbecoming. You know as much as the rest of us, so stop pretending like since Miles stayed that you were right all along.

I'm doubting McKay's conspiracy theory on why the deal fell through.

I think they thought they had him, but Jimbo decided to stay put. No Jimbo, No firing of Les.

I am now of the opinion that a deal was never close and that this may have been nothing more than some rogue boosters stirring up shite and the media jumped on it, combined with Aleva stupidly just sitting back and watching the fire.

Option 2 is to believe that everybody was willing to cut 20 million in checks for buyouts and a new staff only to say "Never mind" when their first choice rejected them.

Option 3 is to believe that everybody, including some real heavy hitters were on board and Jimbo was ready to go, only to have King pull the rug out from under everybody. Additionally, Jimmy Sexton is choosing to stay quiet even though his client publicly got his balls cut off.

I know which of those 3 sounds most likely. You?
