It's difficult to do baseball right after season because you're gonna lose kids to draft. That's why LSU always parades it's former baseball players in October football games when seasons are over.

You need time to get the rings made too. I just looked up when MLB pitchers and catchers reported, and it was the Tuesday before LSU's first weekend.

I say BS because it's their homecoming game and the halftime will be filled with other events relative to homecoming.

In 1997 LSU honored the LSU baseball team during halftime on the field against UF.
That was the least of UF's problems that night.

They want to rub our nose in it. We should all wear Jim McClain Naked with the shark t-shirts and sing Full moon over Miami as the make the presentaton.

What's wrong with them doing this? I see no problem.

For their 6 fans that care, should be exciting.

That may have been what irked me the most about losing to Florida in Omaha.

LSU had that stadium packed and the Florida fans didn't even bother to show up.

Agreed. I think the team rings were given out in the Fall "World Series" in 2010 and then team was brought out during a game.

I think LSU honored the 1997 CWS championship team during the LSU vs FU game in 1997.

You have to admit it's a little bush league.

Why is it bush league? Alleva got his nuts handed to him on a silver platter, then they beat us to win Natty in baseball.

I'd do it to if I was them.

They showed nothing but respect to LSU
Presenting CWS rings at half time against LSU would be anything but respectful. They could do that any other time, at any other game. To do it during an LSU game would be a totally douche move. If LSU were to do something like that, I would be embarrassed. There is no way CPM would allow it. I hope this is only a rumor for their sake. Sure they have a right to do whatever they want, but it would tarnish their championship. No class.

LSU didn't play and beat UF in the championship. I still don't agree with forcing another team's fans to sit though your victory celebration, but it's not the same.

The whole thing may get cancelled if Gators find out the forecast calls for any wind or rain.

Classless, but who cares. The TV audience will never know. Funny to mention it, in 1997 Alabama honored the baseball team, who lost to LSU in the championship, at halftime in Tuscaloosa. I was one of the many LSU fans who thought this was an amusing choice worthy of calling it to their attention.

This. We're lucky they don't give half away at the football game and half away at basketball. It sucks to be on the receiving end of it but LSU can't say much. We dished it out - we gotta take it.

98% of their fans will then know for the first time their baseball team won a national championship.

Will probably distract them from the LSU leading 21-3 halftime score

Depends...if Florida has injuries they might want to reschedule the game due to a hurricane off the coast of Africa
