You don't stay unless you are going into camp as the #1.

Jones seems like a good kid......good head on his shoulders

Look...Miles may be loyal to AJ and to Harris, but I see nothing "disloyal" or wrong about allowing another quarterback come in and compete for the starting job. Would still be giving Harris and AJ the chance to earn the starting spot if they could out perform Miller. (Notwithstanding Miller is a proven badass.) Loyalty is great....but loyalty to the team and making them the best they can be is more important than individuals. If AJ and BH are loyal to the team then Braxton should be welcomed with open arms. Just my 2 cents.

I believe Braxton will stay at Ohio State because he projects higher in the NFL as that slot receiver type than he does as quarterback. He'd have plenty of opportunities to showcase his talent in that position at Ohio State.

If he going anywhere why not Florida state or Oregon. Houston possibly. Doubt he comin here, 90.0005 % sure. I'll have a presser at 0400.

Different situation. He graduates in May. He wouldn't be able to participate in spring practice. He also said reports of transfer were, and I quote, "premature."
Miller, on the other hand, has graduated already. He literally has a free pass to play at any program ala Russell Wilson. He could enroll in a master's program this semester and participate in spring practice. He'd be stupid not to take that opportunity.
I meant to reply to this earlier. I've read somewhere that Miller may not be able to throw at all until August.
My thing is, let's say hypothetically they both are on the market and instant starters for just about any team. Would you take the chance of the guy who has never been a legit passer, with a busted arm who could probably hurt that arm again before the season (as he did last year non contact) or the healthy guy who could graduate in May, very healthy, and a very capable passer?
I'll use your ala Russell Wilson. Golson and Wilson are eerily similar in stats and measurables at the same point in time in college. Wilson went from a pass spread (similar to Golson), to a pro style system at Wisconsin (similar to ours). Wilson committed to Wisconsin on June 27th, while Golson is scheduled to graduate in May. We could get him possibly by June or July if the system doesn't F it up. Either way, he should be here with enough time to compete in Fall camp.
So to review, I know he probably won't even leave ND, but it's not like he exactly needs spring camp. Nick Marshall didn't and Russell Wilson didn't either. At worst, he'd be great competition for Harris, at best the starter for the entire year.
Also I do know the SEC might try to be assholes with his transfer, but we should at least try if he is interested.
