Even if Cardell goes pro, there is still Barrett.

Miller should just leave.

Why? You do know that Jones was the 3rd QB, right? OSU got to 11-1 with Barrett at QB and I doubt he is going anywhere. It's not like Jones leaving opens the door for Miller to automatically come back in a start

I mean idk.. Might be what? A 3rd-4th rounder now. Could return and become a 1st rounder. There's arguments for both sides.

I truly think Jones should go pro, his stock is high enough and he absolutely will get drafted. I think I've seen as high as 3rd round, possibly even more with those 3 championship starts and his measurables.

Also, he's in such a wonderful position that if he goes pro there is absolutely NO PRESSURE on him to start for quite some time. That team can draft him in rounds 2-3 and fans will more than be willing to wait for the NFL team to develop him. I believe he is already at least 22 years old with a kid.. We shall see.

he's a guy who can run when blocking breakdowns or coverage is tight.

Good at chunking it, but not good touch.

Still rather see Harris step up rather than another temporary Band-Aid.

How is he going to become a 1st rounder riding the pine at Ohio State?

he is being projected as a 3 day pick 4th-7th round, he could come back and make it to the first two rounds.

A few NFL scouts have already said it would be very risky for Cardale to come out. He's played in 3 games. Dan Patrick jokingly said he should come out since there is no bad film on him right now.

And don't discount what Barrett did this year after what happened after he got hurt. It's not a lock that Cardale would be the guy next year.

He could be a 2-3rd rounder now with no pressure whatsoever on him to carry a franchise.

Or come back and risk possible loss of playing time to Barrett who was ahead of him on depth, or even worse.. injury (see Miller on his own team).. or he could even hurt his stock by just lesser qb play in general.

I'm not sure 1st rounders are making the same amount of money today as years past with the rookie scales now.. If he gets good advice of a 3rd round grade, I'd think he should go pro.
