No, but Godchaux may be. Brockers did not start as a freshman.

Holy shite, are you JJ or his family? JJ ABSOLUTELY SUCKED as an LSU QB. There is NO OTHER WAY AROUND THAT. The dude was horrible. You sound just like JJ when he was bragging about all the wins HE LED HIS TEAM To........that HE led the team to. LMAO.

Again you dumb frick. You CAN NOT suck your entire career and finish top 6 in every major passing statistic in lsu history. It's impossible. I have FACTS backed up by stats and you have ignorant opinion. Of he sucked his entire career he wouldn't be 5th in total yards at lsu. He wouldn't be 6th in completion percentage. He wouldn't be 8th in career qb rating. He wouldn't be 1st in career qb rushing yards. He would have the single season qb rushing record. NONE OF THESE ARE MY OPINIONS. IT'S NOT MY OPINION THAT JJ IS RANKED TOP 6 IN EVERY MAJOR PASSING STATISTIC IN LSU HISTORY. IT'S A frickING FACT,DUMBASS.

Except FACTS PROVE YOU WRONG. DO I NEED TO explain what a fact is?

Qb A

3/1 tds/int ratio
61% compl
138.7 qb rating
7.7 yards per attempt

3.5 yards per rush attempt

Qb B

11tds
7 ints
48.9% compl
118.3 qb rating
5.4 yards per attempts

2.5 yards per rush.

These two qbs are no where near identical in production. I'm sorry you're biased opinion is proven wrong BY frickING FACTS, NOT BY MY OPINION,BUT BY frickING FACTS. do I need to explain what a fact is? It's a statement that can't be denied. It's a statement that has been proven correct.

so many of you JJ lovers like to use this game. He completed one pass (that was badly, badly underthrown) to a wide open receiver that should have been a touchdown....but since he had to go back for it, we settled for a field goal. Yep, LSU won 6-3.

Wrong again dumbass.
He had 67 yards passing and 43 yards rushing. JJ had 110 of our 239 total offensive yards. So he 46% of our entire offensive output.

quote:

JL started the game off good...completing passes for first downs on the first drive (I believe 2 or 3 first downs.

Wrong.

quote:

I'm a Miles fan, but on that day, imo, Miles got exactly what he wanted back in there....a terrible running qb.

Wrong. Our offensive output went up once JJ became the starter. Our yard per play went from 5.19 to 6.7 once JJ became the starter.

Once again I'm not saying JJ was good. He was slightly above average at best and was mostly average but he did not suck his entire career. If he had sucked his entire career he wouldn't have those rankings in lsu passing. Also he didn't start more games than anyone. He is 5th in starts. So this notion that he started more games is bullshite. Whether you like it or not JJ wasnt a horrible qb. He is lsu's alltime rushing yards for a qb and his 2009 season is the 9th best passing season in lsu history. You can't suck you're entire career and have the 9th best passing season at a top 15 alltime program.

These are facts. Not one time did I say," I think".

Again, you do realize that these incredible stats you are presenting came from him starting games as a freshman all the way through his senior year right? Wouldn't he also rank near the top in the last 30-40 years as having played the most games as a QB? Why didn't you use that stat?

He is 5th in starts.
quote:

6th in career completion %- yes usually he would have 100 yard games because he threw 5 yard passe

If he threw such short passed why is his yards per attempt higher than Matt Flynn's.

quote:

For ANYONE to put in this much time compiling this data tells me you are either JJ or one of his family members or padnahs.

It took less than a minute for someone with a brain.

it's all right here little guy

Newsflash, if AJ starts and plays all his games over the next 2 years, he will have these stats also......let that sink in dumbass.

Except no he wont. In what reality does a 48.9 % compl go up to the 6th best in lsu history?

In what reality does 11tds-7 ints go up to a 3/1 td/int ratio?

In what reality does a 118.6 qb rating go up to the 8th best in lsu history. Say what you want but JJ didn't suck. Was he good? No but we saw suck qb play last year and JJ didn't play that bad for an entire year.

Have you completely missed where his 2009 season ranks as the 9th best passing season in lsu history?

Actually I do get it but I put more into the opinion of the coaches at lsu that thought he was a good enough leader and his instincts were the best lsu had at the time. You keep saying YOU think his leadership was bad and his character was bad but I don't give a frick what some football ignorant person says. THE COACHES AT LSU CLEARLY THOUGHT HIS LEADERSHIP AND CHARACTER WAS FINE.Why would I think your opinion should be held higher than theirs. I've been hoping you would come to this epiphany on your own but alas you haven't. You can say how you feel about JJ but the coaches that have jobs on the line clearly thought otherwise.

Look I'm not going to beat you up about JJ but in 2011 his stats weren't even as good as Jarrett Lee's that year. Jarrett Lee had 67 more passes than JJ that year and had 560 more yards passing, had 8 more touchdowns, had 10 less sacks than JJ had even with more passing attempts, had a higher comp percentage, and a higher efficiency rating. JJ wasn't even the best QB statistically that year for LSU so its weird how you keep bringing up stats to prove an argument.

Agree 100% that the o line did not play well vs Bama on 1/9/12, and that was a major key to the game. Our D held them to fg's repeatedly, but eventually wore down. Also agree that the average fan watches QB's and DB's, and if we win, say that those positions played great. Few younger or non football playing fans realize that the lines dictate success or failure. LSU was decimated by early draft entrants after the '12 and '13 seasons, and it's not surprising that our defenses the following seasons were less effective. Now we have Lacouture and Godchaux returning, with a veteran QT who we hope is great, but we are a long way from the 10-12 D linemen we played in '10 and '11. Hope a lot of them step up and have a great year, because we're going to need them to have a stellar year.

It's crazy how this thread began with a positive comment from Booger McFarland about this year’s team, to this shite fest of arguing about a game & players on the team from 4 seasons ago.

Leadership and instincts are just as important if not more than stats...Its how the team responds to said QB..... On 1/9/12 they didn't respond to JJ... You keep blaming the whole offense... Well JJ was the so-called LEADER of that offense and FAILED...........In EVERY phase of being a qb.... That is what you love to call A FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I am done arguing with you about ANYTHING JJ... Its pointless and has zero business in this thread...
