people need to get over it. bama has played two games on national television, destroying both. we've played one game on espn against an unranked washington team. until we play a good team and beat them badly, people aren't going to jerk us off. i don't know why people even care. if we keep playing like we are and beat bama, it will all take care of itself. week 3 prognostications are useless and just fill up air time.

Absolutely correct !! +1000 LSU just needs to win and win again and force a showdown on November 3rd period.

Alabama and Nick Saban ain't going nowhere. We are stuck facing this program for the next several years. At this point, it amazes me how Bama just reloads and the battle Royale continues each year with Miles and Saban trying to out do each other. But it is what it is.

Yep SEC screwed up. They have the two best teams in the country in the same division. We added two teams further West than Alabama and they should have taken the opportunity to move Alabama (and Auburn) to the East.

Then we could face Alabama in the championship game which would be the biggest game of the year at that point. And the east west divisions could be set up more along, hmmmm... I don't know a east/west line. AND they could have done away with the permanent cross division games which are unfair.

Apparently they just aren't as smart as I am!

My issue with the way they cover it is that we didn't get the same type of respect last year, when we had a more difficult schedule than they've played to this point and it still carries over to this year.

when we played Bama in november, we had 47 of 58 1st place votes in the AP poll, 41 of 59 in the coaches, and 93 of 125 in the Harris. Yes, we got plenty of respect last year.

You realize that would make 8 teams in the east and 6 in the west, right?

Hard to argue. Half of our studs have disappeared. Miles is not doing such a great job managing the team.

They sould be favored over us #1 recruiting classes #1 coach.
We should be the underdog every year we play them.

Why is this so unbelievable considering Les and Co do it as well for the Home team. These programs are on another level right now.

Well yeah, if you pick one sentence out of my post you can try and dispute it. But you failed to address the actual point I made.

What I heard them say was there's Bama and LSU and everyone else, nobody else in the country can match up upfront and beat them unless they screw up.

But that was on ESPNU CFB Daily

There is no other TV personality that I despise more than Robert Smith.
I may go a little overboard when discussing that god awful prick.

Sure plenty of respect in the polls but in the two weeks leading up to the game everyone was picking Bama

Lost half our db depth in the off season to "attrition", but some players just left over the bad taste. Several key contributors can't get qualified and our best player is kicked off the team.

Yeah, I am a shallow a-hole and wish matheiu would have never been kicked off and our players qualified. It's a bunch of B.S. the university makes millions, the coaches make millions and are under tremendous presure to win and put butts in the seats. That pressure is then on the players to produce. Yeah, I am mad. I do believe the players should get more breaks, don't give me the scholly bs either.

True, and even after we won, they said Bama should've won. Yep, lotta respect.
