Just like the "National Championship" game they helped to fabricate, they word-smithed that bosh, too.

The "nation" didn't want it last year either.

A rematch in the national title game happened for the FIRST time in history last year. Do you honestly think it will happen two years in a row?

If the wrong team wins in BR in Nov, yes, ESPN will want one of the darlings to win.

But don't worry, in a couple of years, we will have a situation where ESPN can force feed America FOUR of their darlings for a shot at the title.

Things will improve. Just give it time.

I don't think we're as good as last year, and think we may lose a game before we play Alabama. It's not that unrealistic.

I'm not quite sure why you equate those sentiments to a "jump off the ledge" mentality.

I kindly disagree.

I think we are good enough to go 13-0 again. I just still don't think we are good enough to beat Bama twice, which is our new standard.

In fact, I think you can pick any team in the country, give them their best squad in history, and they would have trouble meeting that standard. That holds for LSU from here to infinity.

What part of the team isn't as good as last year's team, in your opinion?

I would be interested in knowing Tiger fans who doubt alabama is clearly the best team at this point also predicted we would get our butts kicked in the BCS... Nobody, that's what I thought.

LSU has to improve substantially between now and Nov 3 to win that game. I think we can do it, but people who believe we are just going to win just because it's at home are going to be as dissapointed now as on Jan 9.

I think we have some problems in the secondary. I think Simon can come close to being as good as Mo, but he hasn't shown it thus far. He's played for 3 years so far, but is still making mistakes that he probably shouldn't be making. And as good as Mills is, he's a true freshman. It's going to be interesting to see how his psyche can hold up in intimidating venues such as JH and the Swamp.

I think losing Faulk is huge, and will hurt us down the line. Mett is still learning, and isn't immune to making some really bad decisions.

I wouldn't be surprised if we go 13-0 (hopefully 14-0...). However, I also wouldn't be surprised if we finish the regular season 10-2.

Last time we played Bama, it wasn't even close.

We've played cupcakes at home. Bama has beaten Michigan and Arky away from T-town.

What can you expect the analysts to say? Bama looks great and the last time we met, they schooled us.

If we beat them in TS, all this goes away.

I was simply referring to the comments that Bama is vastly superior to us, this season.

And I do think, right now, they are considerably better than us--they seem less prone to mistakes and are dominating better teams in all facets of the game.

My hope is that Bama is about is good as they are going to get and that we peak for the game against them... at our best, I believe we can beat them--we just haven't seen that yet, this year.

Overrated Michigan and an Arkansas team that looked like us in the NC without an offense. Their defense stood up pretty well until they were on the field for fifty minutes.

21-0 is not a damn blow out. Especially when the other team kicks 5 damn FG's and scores a TD late in the game because LSU's defense quit from being on the frickin field so long. If LSU had generated any damn offense do you think Bama wins handidly then? I think not, it's another OT game. Furthermore, they could have gotten beat again!

honestly, I'm so damn tired of hearing you clowns talk about Alabama like their head shoulders above us, there frickin not. They fear Nov. 3rd because they know very well what the hell could happen, again!

Unlike Bama, we're never handed anything...just win and that's all that will matter...I'm just sooo tired of the Saban lovefest with sports commentators...yeah, the guy is a very effective college coach...& I'm thankful that LSU gave him a chance to prove to the world that he is a good coach, but for goodness sake's the guy's got issues like few others and is far from the "god" some of the folks make him out to be...and Bama, we now have empirical evidence (see tree-killer and sex offender) have the worst fans of any college in the nation!

I LOVE IT. I hope for the next 45 days we hear every damn reason why Bama is unbeatable, why Saban can't lose, why Bama is too focused to trip up, why Mettenberger isn't ready to win a big game and why Bama should have all 60 votes for first place.

I want all that. Cause come Nov. 3 that won't mean squat. It'll be 11 on 11 in front of 94,000 fans in what'll be, possibly, the most electric atmosphere in Tiger Stadium history.

I'm getting goosebumps thinking about it.

It would not surprise me if Fla.st wins over Clemson, that they put them at #2 and drop us to #3. Hell to hear them say it, all of us together can't beat bama. But hey,..Haters gonna Hate.
