hey dumbass, jefferson doesn't call the plays

Hey dumbass, I know that. I was using SARCASM to illustrate why I LIKE our uberconservative play calling. We don't need to take chances on offense and ergo we don't. We have a damn strong defense and Miles is wise to let the offense gain confidence by playing mistake free football. I think State did a fine job tonight of demonstrating what happens you don't play mistake free offensive football. Our defense forced a lot of their mistakes, but State's QBs also made unwise choices whereas JJ made sure he did not do likewise.

All you NegaTigers seem to think we're supposed to throw for 300 yards every damn game. Who gives a crap how many yards the QB passes for? This is a team game where the only thing that matter is winning the damn game. This is the SEC and we are not Spurrier's Gators. If we can win with awesome defense and mistake free offense, then that's how we'll win. Tonight's win was a classic, smashmouth, old school SEC victory -- the way that Bear Bryant won. It ain't flashy, it ain't pretty, but it's a solid win.

But, still doesn't excuse JJ from being a junior, and still have to be handled like a true freshman, right?

He made a couple nice intermediate passes, but pretty much dumped it off the rest of the game outside of that one long pass in the end zone. Its not easy to get a read on but the staff obviously had JJ throw the passes he was comfortable with.

Works for now but at some point is going to have to open up again.

It would be nice to just have one 300 yard passing game. UNC second team, Vanderbilt, and now MSU and we may have a combined 300 yards on the year. You should pick your words wisely troll.

solid performance. five times in the red zone and not one TD scored all field goals. Never win a championship by kicking fielkd goals all the time.
JJ still too quick to take off and run, holds on to ball too long. At least he didn't make any of his usual bonehead plays.

How can anyone be satisfied with his performance, under 100 yards passing for the night.

Definitely not SEC quarterback statistics.

UNC's QB threw for 400 yards and guess what, they lost.

3 wins is 3 wins.

They will take the handcuffs off we JJ can master the ten plays they let him run now. I'm glad we won but I find it hard to excited about this offense, it's offinsive.

Are you joking? 10-16 for 97 yds?

If RS doesn't drop two, you are looking at 12-18 for 160. Not great but better

Who is drunk you are me. How does RS catching those two balls equate to two more passes! Wouldn't it be 12-16! Can't believe nobody called you on it. Either everyone is drunk or I am a dumbass. hehe.

What a bunch of fricking morons in this thread

Hey idiots, when you create 5 turnovers, that means you're playing on a short field, which means..........less yards!!!

I'm no Jefferson cheerleader at all, but he did what he was asked to do tonite and there isn't much to bash about his performance. Settling for 5 FG's isn't ideal, but there were factors besides Jefferson that causes that.

LSU, and Jefferson took a step forward tonite, a tiny baby step, but a step nonetheless

put in a solid performance. Made all the plays he was asked to make plus made some big plays on his own. When Crowton/Miles took the handcuffs off a little bit, he was able to move the team. Don't blame jefferson, blame Crowton/Miles if you don't like the offense.

I'm guessing you weren't at the game because you wouldn't be saying this crap.

Jefferson missed about three wide open receivers that certainly had TDs potential.

I haven't watched the game on TV yet but I bet the TV doesn't show them.

Jefferson makes up his mind on who he's going to throw it to before they break the huddle, if that guy isn't open he is not going to look for any one else, He's running. I saw this tonight.

Really?

* 96 yards passing isn't a reason?
* the continued inability to get past his first read isn't a reason?
* pitching the ball behind the runner in the option isn't a reason? (good g*d how long does it take him to get this right?)

If Moo State had any D at all, I bet we would have seen JJ take sacks or get "grounding the ball" calls, since he apparently has no concept of getting outside of the tackles.

I know which play you are talking about, and you will see that he had no time to go for that. The pressure was in his face before he could moved to his second read. He WAS going through his progressions as allowed. Just so happens the dump off had to be used because of the blitz.
