I heard every second of it & do not think he was slobbin on Saban one bit. He mentioned several teams, including LSU. He can't do a season preview on all teams during that PF segment. He joked around some and it seems he and Paul have a good relationship. I believe he will blow LSU's horn when the time comes.
My CSB!! My brother & I walking out of the Dome in '04 hammered after we just beat Oklahoma. We ran into the Spears family, I wanna say his mother &/or sister. We were like yay woo-hoo, uuuuuuuuuuuu is Marcus coming back?

Finebaum's got 2 satellite dishes on the sides of his head. I need one to get the SEC Network.

All the Saban era LSU players kiss Saban's arse any chance they get. It's what you can expect when he's on the SEC network

not to get too far off topic, but I really don't understand why so many people are picking bama, to win the SEC. i'm sure their defense will be good, as will LSU's, but they have a huge hole to fill, at qb. I could be wrong, but I think they will miss mccaron tremendously.

Why does it bother you a player is loyal to his coach?

He basically gave his opinion. From what I've heard most that played for Saban really aren't loyal to him. They respect him but hated him as a coach. Can't blame the guy for picking Bama high this year.

I agree with him but I hate the Saban>LSU mentality that that era of players have. Better than McElroy every morning creaming over Bama every chance he gets. That guy is a moron and a homer more than anyone on radio today.

People bitch when former players from other teams are homers.... and now people are bitching because a former player of LSU isnt a homer.

I actually appreciate the former SEC players that are now analysts and are NOT homers. I like that they can give an unbiased opinion.

And what he said wasnt bad at all. The teams with the best chances to win the SEC are, in fact, Auburn, Bama, South Carolina, and UGA. Auburn and Bama are the 2 favorites in the West and South Carolina and UGA are the favorites in the East.

Doesnt mean we cant win it or anything like that. And Im sure Spears will be rooting for us. Hes paid to be an analyst now, so thats what hes doing. Good for him.

So stupid if he mentioned the long shots as ole miss and Florida without mentioning lsu. That part makes no sense.

One hundred per cent agree.

He also said the best chances to win the SEC are: Bama, auburn, South Carolina, Georgia
Long shots: ole miss and Florida

Mentioned LSU one second, said they are too young to win the sec

I realize this guy is on the sec network but can't he give LSU some love?

The guy has to be impartial and tell what he thinks to be the truth. Why are you so mad because he's not hanging from LSU's nuts?

Wait...he said the "best shots to WIN THE SEC" and named the 2 favorites in each division.

Are you suggesting those four (1 on each side will play for the SEC Championship) are NOT the chalk picks right now?

Then, when asked for "long shots" he says Ole Miss and UF.

I'd say those two are longer shots than LSU...while still being "possible"

Thank you. I didn't watch this, but from what the OP said, he gave the favorites from the west (who are obviously Auburn and Bama), and the favorites from the East, (obviously USCe and UGA).

Long shots are just like saying dark horse, darkhorse would be Ole Miss or MSU IMO from the West and UF from the East.

If LSU fans would calm down and realize that he didn't dis us, they'd see that what he says is pretty much what most people believe anyway.

Whom ever the media picks to win will get most of the press. They picked bama to win the west. It's ESPN......they steer all the analysts in particular way. That's why I like Cowherd he usually is the only one who has is own opinion on ESPN.

Maybe players know what they are talking about and some fans can't deal with the truth because it can't be seen through their purple and gold sunglasses.
