Since Bama is the favorite, it wouldn't be odd to say that. However if a former player has a bias towards his former coach isn't that still "a homer"? All that being said, it'd probably be best to take a wait and see approach.

Probably so but what irks me is the Bama homers can be homers and it is perfectly fine.

At the end of the day I couldn't care less what any analyst says, either for or against LSU. What matters is what the team does on the field. Makes it all the sweeter when we do win and surprise them all. Remember, in 2011 we were not predicted to win the west much less the SEC. When we beat Ohio State for the BCS Championship Kirk Herbstreit made the remark that LSU might have won that game but wasn't the best team in the country. Who cares? We have the crystal in Baton Rouge.
