Yeah, even then you're way off. But whatever helps your "argument".

How much do you think you need to contribute to the program to even get tickets. Then for decent seats you pay the Price + Tradition Fund. Then if you want Chairbacks that's another $50 a seat. Then if you want parking that's another $800 a year.

My tickets are in the SEZ. $250 surcharge per ticket. I don't have a chairback or parking passes. But you can continue to say that everyone has to pay $400 for each game if you want.

Found this chart on a Kentucky website. LSU is in the middle of the pack on prices. LINK

Right. Middle of the pack but cheaper than any other good programs.

ETA: I was wrong about where certain schools ranked but right about LSU being the cheapest of any school that's even won a conference title. Re: Florida, I know that their better seats are in a different stratosphere price and fee wise than LSU's.

But you guys aren't factoring in chairbacks, parking, hot sausage poboys, cokes, icechest and beer for tailgating, LSU coaches' polo, blah, blah, blah.

My father will pass down his tickets to me soon and it's going to be a tough bill to swallow. I wish I could go to the games, get shithoused and scream rude shite to the opposing teams like I used to. Now I have to sit down and cheer at the appropriate times and without the use of cuss words. It's so lame.

What's wrong with a frick Auburn! now and then?

The donation is bullshite. They need to just include it in the total face price of the ticket.

How so?

Why would that be advantageous?

I would guess they could defer some of that cost in the secondary market.

There's a huge waiting list

Well the south end upper deck should accomodate this big list as well as the southeast lower bowl since the visiting fans get their butts moved up in the new section.

Im sorry, but I cant figure out your argument in this thread. Everything that you have said so far has been debunked by more reasonable posters (some of whom are also season ticket holders). What exactly are you complaining about?

One could try to, I suppose, but season ticket holders would lose the ability to write off the donations.

This program is headed for a slide. I think in the next 2-3 years you will see that waiting list really dwindle

If this happens I may get the oppourtunity to purchase season tickets without having to spend exhorbitant (and possibly even absorbent) amounts of money to get the priority points to qualify to even be offered the oppourtunity.

It's silly that each ticket in the stadium has the same face value. My upper deck tickets are not worth the same as prime sideline chairbacks but according to LSU they have the same face. Hell, baseball and basketball charge different face values depending on seat location. But I think it's an accounting and legal game they're playing. If the money is going to the "Tradition Fund" it's a different stream of revenue than ticket sales and can be allocated differently. The "tradition fund" is pretty much analogous to the infamous seat license in pro sports.

If people didn't pay the original full ticket price plus TAF fee, there wouldn't be any tickets to be had for 25$

oh but that's where you are wrong podnuh, 25$ dollar tickets for say the UK game is the market value, thats the value that people are ACTUALLY willing to pay for them, thus the price that they are sold for 30 min prior to kickoff.....

if people didn't pay the full price for them (season ticket holders buying them) that would mean LSU isn't selling those tickets, THEN LSU would be subject to having to peddle the tickets on a game by game basis, as we can see the public won't pay more than $25 a ticket for a game like this so LSU would have to lower their price in order to sell the tickets

whats the moral of this story??

SEASON TICKET HOLDERS frickING SAVE LSU'S arse......if a portion season ticket holders EVER get pissed off enought to the point of not renewing then and only then will you see prices fall
