The person who needs to be fired is Alleva. He is the one who screwed Chavis and caused him to jump ship to A&M. Alleva was willing to extend his contract, but wanted it tied to whether or not Miles stayed. No wonder Chavis left. It is obvious Alleva was considering firing Miles even last year. What has cost LSU this year is poor defense, not keeping the opponents from scoring. No one has scored less than 19 points on LSU all year. Defense has had breakdowns in every ball game this year. Last year, they led the SEC in total defense. LSU has always won games by late scores and barely won. This year, the gaps were too big to overcome.

There are a lot of sportswriters and coaches across the nation who are criticizing LSU for even considering firing Miles. His record is excellent! His recruiting is great! And the players love him. LSU will be hard pressed to find a good coach to consider a job where the boss (Alleva) acts like such an arse! This whole situation can be the downfall of LSU football. It could take years to recover. Current recruits and commits are already starting to fall by the wayside. Before this started, LSU had the #1 recruiting class in the nation for 2016 and still has a number of 5 star recruits seriously considering them, including the #1 overall recruit in the nation.

Alleva was the AD at Duke. Remember the Lacross scandal! Also, Duke had the worst football program in the country before Alleva left. Why the hell Alleva was ever hired is beyond me!

Alleva also brought Jones in and turned around the basketball program immensely.

He has made some good hires since he has been here.

Our fans are so fricking stupid with this. They can't see the forest for the trees. Alleva has done nothing wrong here. He has said no comment and evaluations will be made after the season. The speculation is purely driven by the media and the fans. If his plan comes to fruition, he'll be remembered as the GOAT LSU AD

eta. If it blows up in his face, he'll have to pay for the consequences. But I'm glad we have an AD moving for LSU to be great.

The fact that the Miles clause was entered into those contracts lends me to think Alleva had his mind made up since last season that CLM would not be the coach beyond this season.

Alleva does not oversee game plans and run the power I into oblivion.

Don't get wrong - I think Alleva should never have been hired in the first place. That being said, maybe Miles is reaping some of the consequences of the little game that he and his agent played with Joe concerning the Ar-Kansas job back in 2012.

Alleva is now at fault for how bad the football team plays?

So you're mad at him for putting his foot in the ground and drawing a line in the sand on Miles. A coach most of the fanbase and boosters want gone?

Duke football outside of Spurrier was always bad until Cutcliffe. Alleva hired Cutcliffe before he left by the way.

Alleva will make a great football hire just like he made a great basketball hire. Calm down and enjoy the ride. Do you really want to sit through another season of pitch left, up the middle, incomplete on third down and shitty punt on fourth down.

No, Chavis wanted something no assistant deserves.

If and I mean IF the idiots running this show make a move, let's just hope they make a great hire quickly. And stop handling this whole thing like a bunch of middle school girls spreading gossip and rumors. It has just been a sad state of affairs.

Chavis, Brick and MIles are the reason we have no front 7 on defense. And not having a front seven on defense is the biggest reason why this team has a losing record in November the past three years. Thats why a change is needed.

enough with this shite. Alleva is doing what he is told to fricking do, his job.

If you can do better, go get some degrees, work your way up the ladder and get a gig like the AD @ LSU.

Otherwise STFU. And Im a Miles supporter but enough with this stupid fire someone else shite.

Either way, Alleva needs to go. If miles gets fired, I don't trust Alleva with our next hire.

Who's Alleva's best hire? Johnny Jones? Has anyone watched LSU basketball over the last three years? Awful coaching, but he can recruit. He's a more les miles version of les miles. Nikki Caldwell? Come on.

He's built a softball stadium, man that's really something!!!

An AD moving LSU to be great? How is that relevant? Is there any AD at any school across the country trying to hold its athletic program back? Get real Crazy4LSU

Alleva/LSU administration has shown zero backbone over the last two weeks and has handled the entire situation poorly. It is far more stubborn/ignorant to be pro-Alleva than to be pro-Les Miles.
