I agree with this. If I knew I could have 4-5 beers in the stadium then I wouldn't worry about bringin in whiskey which would mean I was less drunk.

Some would maintain this mentality, most would still get housed outside because they don't want to buy 5 $9.00 beers while watching the game.

Now, it might curtail a lot of the booze drinking at the game, because I'm sure a lot of people are more willing to maintain their drunk for $9.00 or $18.00 than get caught with booze they snuck in and get tossed out.

Pretty sure I would be in the latter camp, but I'd still get housed prior to the game.

Does this mean Alleva is now a good guy among the alcoholics?

Not sure how I feel about this. LSU fans are pretty rowdy without the beer.

Hope this happens. It's a popular way to address flagging attendance that is also a source of additional revenue.

They sold beer in the student section at the Orange Bowl without issue, but that student section was a lot easier to monitor than LSU's would be.

Selling beer in the stadium will have zero bearing on how much people consume prior to a game

That's just blatantly false. A lot of people will drink less.

So why doesn't he do it? Who has to approve this if not the AD?

Guys, not to spoil the party, but I don't know if TS has the necessary storage capacity to properly house the supply needed.

They (being ADs around the country) need to pull out all the stops to enhance the stadium experience, because eventually, it will start affecting ticket demand.

Better get out ahead of it.
