Lol pretty easy interim gigs dude

And still lost games even at that

He's getting too much credit

I regret LSU even putting themselves in this position to getting attached like this to another lovable non x and o coach.. we'd be winning the same games with any avg coach

Surely we can do better

That's awful

We'd beat those teams regardless of O

We haven't beaten anyone we shouldn't have

That's nice and all but most coaches would have no problem winning these games

Genius, of course he didn't. I mean the rest of the season. If you read correctly I said 7-1

Didn't read anything in there about an actual, you know, coaching search.

I just cannot believe that clown is going to make a decision without seeing who is out there and actually, oh I don't know, interviewing some of them.

Crazy idea, I know.

Miles meets all those criteria except the ability to change strategy with the times. The same was true about Charley Mac.

Agree 100% although the team didn't just squeek by as the did most of the time with miles.

They dominated them.

I wish theyou would have never put O interim because now when they hire someone else he is gone and is a bigood loss.

Why was this letter necessary? Shut your hole and hire Jimbo or Herman.

When we win out, give O the job, pay big bucks to keep Aranda, and find the best OC out there and keep this momentum building into recruiting season.

The responses in this thread tell you all you need to onow:

"Welp, so much for O's chances."

"Golly, he just described O to a tee!"

Right now? Both of them are in the middle of their team's season.

It hilarious how completely divergent the impressions are: 50% of you think this letter eliminates O and the other 50% think it confirms him.

What about success as a P5 head coach? This is after all one of the top jobs in all of college football.

So you are going to hand it to coach O who "deserves" it for winning the last 2 games where LSU is favored by 8.5 and 14.5 respectively. Sounds like you're the genius.

JACKSON, Miss. -- A dreadful final month on and off the field cost Mississippi's Ed Orgeron his job, even though his bosses had said his future was secure. Orgeron was fired Saturday, a day after the Rebels lost 17-14 to rival Mississippi State to finish 3-9 and winless in the Southeastern Conference for the first time since 1982. Off the field, Ole Miss was embarrassed by the disciplining of 20 players who stole from hotels the Rebels were staying in on Friday nights.

In year 3 of O's control of the program.
