Be prepared for shite traffic... so plan accordingly. Game day will have all types of people walking around. I highly advise to travel in a group because there are always drunk bad apples out there. Your friends will know which bars to go to. Don't act like a douche and you'll be fine, minus a few hundred thousand "tiger bait" chants.

JBeam will show you a good time. BR bar scene isn't incredible, but it's a lot of fun, especially on gameday weekends. Bogies, Walkons, and downtown are all good choices. Gameday/tailgating will be among the best Fall Saturday experiences you've been a part of.
Also, I slept on your couch last year so if I see you wandering by my tailgate on the parade ground I'll be sure to present you with all the beer and whiskey you want.
