re: How Did House Sell Himself to CBK? - Tigerbait46 on 11/6/23 at 5:41 pm If I recall correctly, all of the D position coaches were hired before House since he was still tied up with the NFL season. There's clearly a disconnect between his scheme and execution at the position level. Maybe a shakeup with the staff under House is all that's needed? ... re: Can LSU translate this increase in sports success to better ACADEMICS? - Tigerbait46 on 7/13/23 at 11:31 am The biggest thing holding back LSU is the lack of high level post-grad opportunities in LA. Our best grads go to Houston, and the kids they raise are less likely to go back to LSU than stay in TX.
You think UGA was always a highly selective school? Or did the explosive growth of ATL have more t... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |
re: Can LSU translate this increase in sports success to better ACADEMICS? - Tigerbait46 on 7/13/23 at 11:13 am
LSU needs to offer more scholarships to overqualified out of state kids. This is what bama (along with the rise of football) did to raise their academic pedigree

My cousin from MD (34 ACT, 4.0+ GPA) will be going to LSU on a full ride scholarship, in large part because UofMD or N... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Please tell me more about Maryville, Tennessee - Tigerbait46 on 7/12/23 at 11:05 am
HC, do you know anything about the Brentwood (Nashville) area? Daughter 2 is looking to relocate and has a job offering in that area.
Brentwood is a very nice, sprawling suburb 20 min south of Nashville in Williamson Co. Predominately single family homes on large lots. Very expensi... Posted on O-T Lounge Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: Milazzo had 2 hits tonight and was big behind the plate - Tigerbait46 on 6/21/23 at 9:53 pm Milazzo behind the plate makes me feel so much more comfortable. It makes a difference for pitchers too. When you see your C save your arse on WPs, frame beautifully, give encouragement -- it builds confidence. If I'm pitching to a C who messes up little things, that little ounce of frustration ad... Posted on Tiger Rant Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0) |
re: My wife has been begging me to go to the Yellow Deli - Tigerbait46 on 6/20/23 at 2:47 am Ended up eating solo at the one in Rutland, VT while on a work trip and had no idea what I was getting into. Sat at the counter, ate the most comforting chili and freshly baked bread, and was given a rooibos tea latte "on the house." Thought the dude was just being friendly but then he slipped the... re: Considering rebooting my life - Tigerbait46 on 6/13/23 at 5:48 pm This is a beast of a topic that can overwhelm. I navigated a similar situation in my late 20s and still figuring it out 6 years later.

re: Job with Ernst and Young - Tigerbait46 on 5/21/23 at 1:56 pm I started my career on the Advisory side of a Big 4 firm for 5 years and totally burned out.
If I could give advice to a new hire, particularly an econ grad who likely doesn't know if the acctg path is for him, I would say this:
The best thing for an early career professional of any kind is to... Posted on O-T Lounge Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1) |

re: What’s a good college degree for working outdoors? - Tigerbait46 on 12/10/22 at 8:42 pm Lots of demand for arborists and there are paths to ISA certification with or without a degree.
