I was told that he's in serious danger of failing every class.
really? because that information coming from people that would ACTUALLY know his grades (TA, Athletic Admin, Prof) would be illegal to report.

I hope it's not the case,
I would hope you aren't rooting for a kid to fail, as someone who teaches at LSU I do my best to make sure everyone does well.

but I get the impression it means a lot more to you.
People doing well in school is important for a number of reasons...i would hope everyone would support education to the utmost...are you saying you don't?

Your posts indicate that you might be the hypocritical one. At least you have plenty of company.
Do you know what the word "hypocrite" means? Why can I not support both QBs but still acknowledge the fact that some of our fanbase is divided and some of that division is fueled by blatant ignorance?

Absolutely not, and I clearly stated such. I hope it's a rumor, but I'm hearing it from several people. It could all be false, but there's a whole lot of smoke.
As for your implication that only X number of people know, that's naive and you and I both know that. Are you telling me that a professor never goes home and speaks to his wife or friends about a failing student or problem student? You're acting like this is equivalent to Les going to the media and telling them directly that Lee is failing, which would certainly be a violation. Maybe that's why he has stayed as quiet as a church mouse on the subject. We have no idea who the original sources are.

You really should stop attacking people about something you obviously don't have a clue about. He definitely is having an Academic issue. Saying he is already ruled ineligible is incorrect but heading that way is the truth.
But carry on attacking others because you are having a hard time coming to grips with the situation.

I couldn't believe that more wasn't made out of this on the Rant. It was very interesting to say the least, since its not the type of thing we've seen from Lee in the past.
The rumors I'm hearing would imply that Lee is battling depression, so I don't think it is a big deal. A touchdown is not going to make you forget about losing your love....

hence a rumor.
Thanks for playing champ. Just because you and the other rantards repeat it ad nauseam does not make it more truthful.

lulz. You're too ignorant to realize your own stupidity.

wow, considering the semester hasn't ended yet. You're a fricking LIAR.
It's a week before finals, if the grade is low enough the final probably isn't enough to bring it up to passing.
Not saying the rumor is true but the semester still having a week left doesn't really disprove it eithrr

When this little rant meme came about, there was PLENTY of time left in the semester.

Okay, fair enough. Will you come back and make an Eat Crow thread if it IS true? I will if it ISN'T. I'm sure we all will. You may even get a ban bet from someone closer to the source, but that is not me.
It frightens me that a teacher of young people would have such an lack of logic. You are hanging onto the fallacy that being a rumor makes it untrue. That is stupid.

No I don't but I talked to someone EXTREMELY close to the team. I even said this before Hanagriff and Lazare came out and said their source gave them this information after the Western Kentucky game but my post got whacked.

what a joke.

Because unsubstantiated rumors are just that. Do you also have as much difficulty separating reality from fantasy as fact from rumor?

looks like my kid might have a 4.0 at LSU this semester, and probably has a number of friends who know this as well. I, or they, may tell other folks. Are we breaking the law?

I have no info, but here is what I believe is going on....
Lee is in danger of failing some classes. It's not a done deal yet, as the semester isn't even over; He still has time to "make the grades." However, If he does fail these classes, he will be ineligible for the bowl game.
In part to help Lee get rectified on the education side and in part to prepare for the possibility of his ineligibility for the BCSCG, Miles has determined that JJ is the guy for now and should get the bulk of the reps. Also, I believe it may partly be a punishment to Lee. And I also believe that another component to it is that Les realized in the Bama game what he knew preseason: that while JLee is capable, JJ gives LSU the best chance to win vs a team like Alabama/Georgia/etc. So, basically:
-Lee in trouble academically
-Miles preparing for said trouble and possible loss of Lee
-Miles "helping" Lee to get it fixed by decreasing his football load
-Miles punishing Lee on the field
-Miles realizing that despite all this, JJ might indeed be the guy that gives us the best chance to win a title anyway
Many factors that go into all this, and the only person that can weigh all those factors with complete facts is Les Miles.

since players or any students grades being released is a violation of the law....
how do you plan on finding out?

No I simply call it a rumor. Idiots like yourself, Beefense and others keep calling it a "fact".
That problem with definitional application is troubling to me.

Funny coming from someone that ran with every rumor and story from the Jefferson Shady's deal.

Midterms where well past done so most of thr semester was over by the time of WKY game And there is a chance he didn't do what he had to do.

Since you do not have access to his grades, no. Those individuals shared them with you.
However, to believe that as others purport in this thread and others....That Lee is failing classes based on some cryptic comment from Miles and some on-air radio personality that cant point to any sources (none of the rumor mongers can)..then it is simply a rumor.
Do you think those with access to his grades would risk their jobs for this...really?
