I just hate the people that think the SEC is the only conference that plays football.

I don't think that. What I do think is that no other conferences top half is as strong as the SEC. And I don't think any other conference plays defense the way the SEC does.

Eventhough the BIg 10 may have some solid teams here and there, it's not as strong as the SEC.

B10 has a pretty good bowl record head/head with the SEC in the past decade. It isn't as strong top to bottom though. It peters out after the top 3-4 teams.

What I'm getting at is it would be better to think about coaches who compete in the same conference as Bama. It's always easy to go outside of the SEC to find somebody more consistent than SEC coaches because those conferences aren't as tough.

So basically the only coaches you could compare to Saban at all would be Miles, Nutt and Richt?

Well, shite, you basically just eliminated the majority of comparisons and made the point futile.

I didn't ask you to tell me if it was even. I asked you to post the record.

But going outside the SEC for those comparisons is not very valuable to the discussion. Maybe if the Big 10 was as strong as the SEC it would be, maybe. But, it's not.

Les Miles has been pretty consistent. And we play UF every year.

No. I was under the impression you knew the record off the top of your head. I was sorely mistaken I see.

DiNardo makes Italian food for a living and Saban won his second title in January of 2010.

Oh well. Ohio State still gets beat down when they play SEC teams in national title games.

Yep, but overall the difference isn't as great as people tend to believe. Problem is, outside of Pennsylvania and Ohio, talent isn't that great.
