Bama fans are dealing with a fricking tragedy? You think it could possibly be they have more important things to worry about right now?

NS is obviously one of the best coaches in college. The ridicule of CLM is what can be frustrating to Lsu fans.

Frustration?

Miles outcoached the midget last year with his 4 1st rounders.

I do find it a tad strange that someone with Nick's resume would suddenly find that he left his heart back in college ball

He supposedly turned down the original offer. That's when WH flew to BR in the Dolphin plane and sweetened the pot.

I don't think he just "suddenly" found out that his heart was in college ball. He's spent far more time in college ball than in the NFL. I remember when folk used to say he was an NFL guy and all he wanted to do was go to the pros and it was bullshite. If that's all he cared about, he would have taken offers from the Colts and/or Giants back when he was at MSU. It was going to have to take the best deal a NFL coach could get in terms of money and having control over personnel and that's what it took.

And I don't think folk involved at LSU were willing to match a financial offer that Miami was going to offer.

So are you saying that LSU winning it all in 2007 is more impressive?

I would say no considering 2009 Alabama went undefeated, but that is besides the point. The only real point to my post is that any criticism directed toward Saban for Alabama's 9-3 record this year with four first rounders is not comparable to criticism, whether legitimate or not, toward LSU's 2006 11-2 finish.

2010 Bama wasn't supposed to contend for the NC. 2006 LSU was probably the most talented team in the nation.

And the fact that those Alabama players did win a NC the year before.

4 guys drafted in the first round out of 10 that were draftable. Alabama was a very young team in 2010.

2010 Bama was preseason #1 in every poll in America.

Their secondary was too suspect to contend for the NC. Most preseason number one teams are way overrated.

The division had 4 teams ranked in the top 12 of the final poll.

great argument

if only Bama's issues were related to their offense and line last year, and not the secondary

Football is a good distraction right now. I'd rather not think about what the storms did to the city I love.

Most likely. Bama was a 2-3 loss team regardless last year. SEC west was the strongest division in the nation.

BTW: You don't have to put one coach down to raise another. Anyone thinking Saban is a bad coach needs to go to Disney.com or something. Glad Miles is our coach, but I don't have to put Saban down to make Miles look better. It's juvenile.

Don't need to. Miles as the better record at LSU.

Juvenile is pretending not to notice the Top DB on the country was from LSU...Saban's alledged specialty.
