He is a high level coach, just not consistent.

No, not at all. This isn't what you are doing.

Not winning the national championship every year equals inconsistent.

Maybe Saban should try to conquer the UAB's & UL(M)'s first?

Or maybe work on bowl games?

No, his teams have a tendency to melt down in the second half, and sometimes lose to shitty competition.

He is still an elite coach.

Do you know a coach who doesn't have a weakness? Produce him.

Outside of his first years at LSU and Alabama, I think he's only lost to one unranked team (Ole Miss in 2001.)

I guess my point is, whose a more consistent coach?

Didn't read the entire thread, but I thought of this earlier when watching The Herd. I thought it was funny the great Saban had 4 first rounders and finished FOURTH in the SEC West.

Tressell. Sabans teams tend to play down to competition at times. No reason at all to lose to UAB, ULM or hell, even Utah.

Every coach has weaknesses. Sabans teams melt down in the second half. Happens often. Not criticizing Saban overall, he is a top five coach.

I wonder how consistent he'd be if he were coaching an SEC team. The school you coach at and the conference you compete in matter very much.
