Some of you are stupid. These kids will be reevaluated several times prior to signing day. Hell, they still have an entire year to play in High School and dingle-berries like you are playing the Chicken Little card.
Idiot.

The year after next in North Louisiana you will see the most 3 and 4 star players (possible 5 star at Neville) since Cameron Robinson was a senior.

The 2019 class is going to be disgusting in Louisiana top to bottom.

Rating is not a definite science and it is too early in the process. It is impossible to gauge the growth and development a kid will go through in a year. Look at jalean philips he was barely a 3 star his junior year and by the end of his senior year he was the number one composite 5 star recruit in the country.
When coaches evaluate prospects they look a several different factors. LSU gets to take close to 30 recruits this class and if anyone thinks that all of them can be 4 and 5 stars they are extremely unrealistic.

Only addressing the 1st paragraph.

Undoubtedly Bamas major league talent is partly responsible for their success but I don't think it's the reason for their success. The top 10-15 programs in the country yearly aren't really separated that much by talent in the 2 deep, which is who plays the great majority of the games. Sure no one can match them man to man in the 85 but in the top 40 or so, yearly, 3-5 programs match them or better them in talent. The difference is coaching, discipline and preparation. Saban does it better than anyone in the business and conforms those around him to his agenda and structure. That's the biggest reason for their success. At least that's the difference I see in most years.

I actually believe our current 3*s Moore, Washington, Baskerville, and Clark are some of LSUs best current recruits. GTFO with this nonsense, watch these guys play and know who they will be playing for.

The fact of the matter is that this coaching staff can do more with a projected 3* then the last staff could with a no doubt 5*. Y'all have to remember that we want to sign a full class this year so getting early looking stars committed isn't a bad thing. Then if they don't work hard to get better you let them know it isn't working out, or this guy over here is out working you. There have been 3* after 3* guy for OM, MS, or Ark that turn out better than our 4 and 5* guys so it's not all about stars, it's about getting to know the guy and doing your homework. This staff isn't just offering anyone with great tape lmfao

Thats exactly who I'm talking about and thank you for proving my point :)

TM7 didn't get that 4th star until LSU offered and he blew up at his last camp. He was a 3 star throughout the whole recruiting process. Like I said these guys will gain stars , it's early and 5 stars don't really mean shite at the end of the day.

Gotcha. I wasn't trying to be smartass.i was trying to figure out what ya meant.

No team has ever won a title with a team built on 3 star talent. Yes 3 star players have turned into great players but there is a reason Alabama is on an unheard of run.

When looking at the average recruiting rank over the four-year period that preceded each national champion we get a few examples like this...

2003 LSU 12th
2010 Auburn 16th
2016 Clemson 13th

Somehow, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Clemson, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, etc also seem to want these "3 stars".

These kids are Juniors and Sophomores. They will improve and be reevaluated. Stop star gazing at this point. It's pointless. Besides, I trust Ed O's, Aranda's, and Canada's talent evaluation far and away over Rivals and ESPN,etc.

Mark my words, Racey McMath was a 3* and he will be a monster wideout in college and probably the NFL. He stayed low key, and didn't chase the spotlight, even avoided it. The coaches loved him and deservedly so even though he wasn't a 5*

Just by your posts I can tell you are a stupid young lsu fan that does not know of the bad times we experienced since 1979. You probably thought orgeron was the best coach in the country when alleva hired him.

In today's recruiting world, most 4 and 5-star recruits are not gonna sign early so they can play the game.

Yeah you seem like you know your stuff... We'll see in a few years what these so called 3*s do under Aranda and what those bad arse 4*s do under Steel and Chavis.

Of course LSU will land other big names and prospects but I'm willing to bet those 4 names I just mentioned will be some of our key contributors in a few years.

It's a fact that Aranda and Canada did much more with much less at their previous stints.

Did they have that HB, QB, LT, DE, DT to take them over the top? No but Les Miles was known at LSU for having just as much talent across the board as anyone in the country as seen by the NFL draft but didn't win squat with that talent as of late.

So one end of my comment is already proven the other will be proven once the season is kicked off. This team will play at a much higher level and it won't have a damn thing to do with the talent being that much better now will it? Let me tell you Rick, I don't hear gospel coming from your mouth all I hear from you is the same crying "why would LSU hire coach O" you're a whiny little girl.
