Davenport looks likely especially if we take another OL. I hope we can take 3 more DL and one more OL with OBJ and another LBer. Thats my ideal finish.

OL-Region
DL-Jernigan, Drew, Rasco
WR/DB-OBJ

looking like
Ath-Beckham
DT-Jernigan or Johnson or both
DE-Rasco or for those who really believe we have a shot with Drew
LB-Don't know who but we want one.
OL-maybe if someone grayshirts or we miss on all the DEs(which i think is highly possible)

Either fall practice report day or first day of class, can't remember which one.

Tolliver (concussion following not much pt this year)

I don't think Tolliver will be gone. He was involved once he was healthy and we like him as a deep threat

I think you are right about Theriot.

I honestly thought he would be in the mix for FB this season. But he doesn't even factor in at all. Surprising that he couldn't assert himself at all at a position where we don't really have much

yep and yep. We are not privy, we'll never know what happened.

With Ridley most likely coming back and the way Ware looks. DO you guys think we may lose any RBs? Especially with the possibility of having Hilliard, Hill, and Magee.

I know drayton was switched to cb and pretty sure gore was switched to wr.

I wouldn't be surprised if 1 or even 2 switched positions...

blue played some, but with Ridley, Ware, Ford, Blue, then the 3 we may possibly get. Someone s going to get left in the dust.

I think Blue may switch to LB which is kind of what a lot of people thought when he was being recruited

79 current scholarship players. We lost 9 scholarship SRs. Also, Peterson, Ridley, and Calhoun have left for total of 12 putting us at 67 scholly guys. With the self imposed sanctions, we can only have 83 scholarship players. That leaves room for 16 players.

The amount we sign over 16 is the amount that we'll have to lose to attrition from the current roster. With the sanctions we can sign 23. This 23 includes Cameron Fordham who walked on last year. If we sign that amount 7 current players will have to leave.

67 + 23 = 90

90 - 83 = 7

I thought the sanctions meant we could only sign 23 players instead of 25. Were the sanctions for number of players signed in 2011 or for number of players on scholarship in 2011?

eta: nevermind, you're right. We lose 2 schollies overall

Houston Bates plays for Illinois. We wouldn't give him a scholly so he bounced. I don't blame him.

Signing day should get very interesting. LSU can SIGN up to 26 players in this class (instead of 28), but can only offer 23 of the 26 scholarships. And the numbers look like we will get the 26 signitures.

I don't know any details, but there has to be some possible greyshirts already worked out with this class.

I think the only way we sign that many is if we get literally all of the big names we're after. I think the we end up signing about 24 w/ somebody greyshirting if everyone else qualifies

His offer/commitment was very shaky from the beginning....
