if he ends up at Ole Miss, i think it reflects more poorly on LSU than if he had gone to Alabama.

although, since Ole Miss has zero QB depth i can see why he'd go there.

I want him to go to Clemson so everyone can be wrong. What does that say about the state of the SEC if he commits to an ACC school?!?

How does losing a recruit reflect poorly on LSU? You win some and you lose some. Some kids want to play alot sooner, and some shy away from competition. Nothing you can do about that.

Kinda stupid that one recruit determines the effectiveness of a whole program. Especially since their "rankings" are all rough projections anyway.

Just pointing out that height, or a lack thereof, isn't necessarily a handicap

not if you have amazing pocket awareness and movement, incredible accuracy, an amazing work ethic, and a great coordinator calling the plays then no it's not a handicap.

Ely isn't one to be upset about losing. Hell you could argue Bama has a better depth chart situation for him there. Ole Miss does for sure.

I didn't say it was definite, but it is evidence of where we stand in comparison to Alabama.

you mean compared to the current national champions?

We are obviously doomed.

This place gets dumber every day.

Three to five years ago, LSU was the program that could change a kid's mind last second because we were a better program than anything else being offered. If this is true with Ely(which it may not be), then I think it just signifies that we have fallen from the elite ranks a bit.

I would say from recent class ranks, this is hardly the case.

I would imagine this kid had nothing to do with it.
