Mett would be more of a distraction for this bowl game than anything else, LSU and Jefferson and Lee need to focus on this game and win it.

Then Mett can start wowing the Gridiron Club

I think people are underestimating what getting an extra 15 practices under his belt means.

Yes but he won't be getting reps. So it's not as bad as you think either.

Dexter Pratt'

his paperwork never got in, I guess he was using them for something else

But seriously I forgot all about this guy, I was really bummed when he decommitted but then found out it was all for the best after his off field troubles surfaced.

I doubt he would get 15 practices worth in prep for this bowl game. Dude has a some serious work before ever running an LSU offense. Learning that Crowton playbook, plus the secret playbook.

No seriously, The Berg will have plenty of time to learn and work and rep it out under the new OC after the bowl game this Spring.

Did you guys just want him Learning Crowtons offense or did you want him to play.

Haha, I didn't want him to play. I do want him on campus sign, sealed, and delivered. Watching tape, throwing around the rock with teammates, learning the ropes, conditioning, learning gary apparent three million page playbook (of which we use three), learning offensive language, all the other details that he can. I want this guy get as much in before spring as possible.

And something about not getting a stud quarterback's, an obvious need for this team, DAMN paperwork done just irritates me IF this is on LSU's part.

Spring is 20 practices. Bowl practice is 15.

Don't know how anyone can think having almost DOUBLE the practices under his belt before the fall isn't a HUGE advantage.

I know he wouldn't be getting tons of starting reps with RR and them. But he'd be at every practice throwing and learning the playbook. Being around the program and getting use to all the guys.

Only negative things come from his paperwork not getting there in time and him not being at bowl practices.

Is it the end of the world? No. But it does matter.

These are my thoughts. Might be a good thing. Why let him be around GC & develop any bad habits? Maybe he can start at the same time a new OC starts--wishful thinking! He'll have plenty of time to learn everything when it's time for spring practices to begin.

What if Gary stays, and besides the more he's developing chemistry with the team, teh better.

If he's not going to play in the Cotton Bowl, then I don't want him taking reps from Jefferson or Lee. They need all the reps they can get.

He'd be taking reps from BB and TC, not the starters.

Now I will pay ten bucks for this insider info.

What happened? Why is Mett upset at a reporter.

Disagree. Getting 15 oracticea under your belt prior to spring would have been tremendously valuable.
