LSU is not like the others. I'd jump on the offer. TCU is amateur hour

corrected that for ya.

When West Monroe and Landry Walker play again next year it is going to be like the ole Evangel/West Monroe matchups with the amount of talent on the field. The rivalry is going to start this year--especially how that championship game ended.

Landry-Walker is loaded and so is West Monroe. Hopefully they meet up in the Dome again.

A boneheaded personal foul on a drive late in the fourth in the semis will derail LW's chance at repeating next year

Like I said, the kid isn't going to make a snap judgement. Once he commits, he's done.

He wants to see how the offense does this year. Smart man.

Only teams that could beat them are West Monroe, Zachary, or Acadiana. They are that good next year and picked up a stud receiver out of Dallas, TX. They and West Monroe will become a rivalry. They already played in football and basketball. 5-A needed that again.

Similar combine type numbers, but in 4 years Slade's should actually be better. Christian had 10 reps at the combine. Slade had 9 as a sophomore in high school. They haven't done it again this year yet, but I would expect him to best McCaffrey's 10.

Same height, 7-8 pounds difference, .04 difference in 40, 1.75" difference in vertical, similar shuttle. Very similar in many ways.

My daughter was at a Junior Day event unfortunately at Ole Miss and the ladies behind me in line were from West Monroe and said Bolden was in Oxford today for that event and going to Ole Miss spring practice.

He was. Peveto has been on him for a long time. He was the area recruiter for LSU and is now the same for Ole Miss.

I've been wondering if Ole Miss is the primary competition for him. Didn't really want to ask the question here either, we'll find out soon enough.

Honestly, they have the history of not being afraid to go after RBs with his size working for them. Not saying LSU can't/won't, but the history is not there.

I'm all for letting him see Canada's offense in action and then go head-to-head with OM or TCU (or whomever) with that in our back pocket. Really want to see this kid a Tiger with his skills and versatility.

Edna Karr was the best team in the state last year.

I agree, they were. I am speaking about next year. Next year Landry Walker returns their entire Offensive Line; 3 quarters of their defensive line with multiple quality backups; their entire secondary except for a safety. They have two of the top 5 players in the state on the team in Harris and Jason and picked up a stud receiver from Dallas, TX recently.

I'd say they, Evangel, and Curtis are the top 3 teams going into the state next year based on returning talent and top Division 1 Seniors.

Karr lost a lot.

Just saying...5A is stacked. Parkway with their dynamic duo as well.

JJ you are very knowledgeable poster and should know better about Parkway.

Parkway did pick up a stud safety from South Carolina themselves recently. Why? How? I have no idea.

Parkway has zero defense whatsoever and with a new coaching staff I don't see them being much of a threat, but could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first and most definitely not the last.

Zachary is going to be strong as hell along with Destrehan. Destrehan has a sophomore class from last year with Blood, Emery and Torbor--qb, rb. wr, that is very strong too.

Ouachita returns 16 starters from last year themselves with a ton of underclassmen off that team.

5-A will be stacked for sure as you say. Good to see.

JJ any word on the opponent for Battle at the Border??

Hopefully it is Evangel. I would love to see that game once again. West Monroe and Evangel would make A LOT OF $$$$..

I went and saw an Oklahoma state championship squad play at the Herbstreit Classic in Dallas at Jerry's World years ago.

If that is the best they have to offer then I don't expect it to be close. West Monroe will win handily.

Desoto beat that team so bad it was painful to watch.
