Uh James Cook?

I have no belief in him coming here, but even if he did I would still want Curry and Bolden as well.

Curry has future starter written all over him IMO, and Bolden is the versatile threat we need in the backfield with all the misdirection in a Canada offense.

Nice to have options. But IMO TCU would put him to better use and he'd probably have an earlier chance to play there as well. Always an interesting decision for kids who can go play in a system that better suits them or suit up for the local team who they probably have been fans of their whole lives.

Canada took a player who had 4 touches from scrimmage in 2015 and turned him into a versatile threat in 2016.

60 carries 631 yards 5 TDs, 26 receptions 286 yards 1 TD. That's not even adding in his 1166 yards and 4 TDs on punt and kick returns.

Bolden would play all over the field for us.

I get that but we're in the hunt. Cook would be a future starter too.

eta: I get if you don't believe he's coming here.

Well, that staff is gone & Bolden will never be expected to QB here, so this really makes no sense.

I like all of the Fla. RBs they are recruiting, Ath Justin Watkins included.

James Cook
Lavonta Valentine
Chris Curry
Jashaun Corbin
Justin Watkins

I think Curry or Valentine commits at the camp.

I know Harold Joiner wants to play RB but I personally have always considered him an Ath.

I just hope somehow Fabian Franklin ends up in this class. Nothing better than a kid with SEC type talent that WANTS to be a Tiger...especially at a position of need

I read this morning that he was supposed to take the ACT soon but rescheduled it. Hopefully he can get his academics in order so LSU can offer him with confidence that he'll qualify.

Yes LSU wanted to know his ACT score before they felt comfortable with an offer. If they were to offer and he committed and didnt qualify at the end it could really be detrimental to recruiting other RBs who could actually qualify.

And still playing in the NFL

Shepard was not a disappointment at LSU, only did not live up to his recruiting ranking.

Played solid ball for LSU, his yards per touch were very good

I was referring to 9th green at 9 who was trying to say Bolden wouldn't get a lot of touches like R Shepard, so why would he come to LSU

The previous offense was a bad fit for everyone except LF7. I think Canada's offense will be better for Slade. He looks like he is more of an all-purpose back, so he needs to be in an offense that will use him that way.

as do I. Major academic hurdles though.

And you know how it is dealing with Mississippi kids that aren't going to OM or MSU and have bad academics...it will be a long shot.

Your thoughts about him playing in the slot?

Does't look very comfortable there. Granted, I'm comparing him to Chase who makes everything look effortless.

He's destroyed everyone when playing in the slot. I think he will just get better and better once he focuses on a single position.
