re: Special teams coordinator - toughcrittercrumb
We are down two recruiting spots. One for the special teams position and the other I think Thomas is recruiting for Pete Jenkins. So is Coach O using the vacant spot so that he can be on the recruit more? I'm guessing that that is what is happening. ...

Greg Hill and Rodney Thomas but that's back in the 90's. LSU has a much greater history of RBs. ...

re: Punt returner - toughcrittercrumb
IMO, I don't want our starting RB being the returner. He takes enough hits running the football. There has to be someone else that can be the returner. Jackson would be my number one option if he can display better ball security. ...

re: Timing of staff changes - toughcrittercrumb
I could see us getting a new defensive line, linebackers and special teams coach before signing day. I don't see any current staff members being let go until after signing day. ...

re: Canada met with Juniors Last Night - toughcrittercrumb
Chark was our best WR this year. I'm hoping he stays for another year because he has the talent to go in the 1st round. ...

re: Is it time for Ducre to be given a look at possible LB spot entering Jr season? - toughcrittercrumb
Honestly, with his combo of speed and size, I wouldn't be surprised if Canada figures out a way to use him on offense. He seems like a perfect fit for what he ran at Pitt. Assuming we run something like that next year, don't be surprised if he gets used in some packages.
Exactly....

re: *******Update 6:30***Tidbits on LSU OC search - toughcrittercrumb
Gilbert was my personal favorite of the group, because he could bring the veer and shoot offense without all the baggage of the Briles'. However, I think you are right about Canada. At least I hope so. He certainly seems like the easiest to transition to with our current roster. I felt that w...

re: *******Update 6:30***Tidbits on LSU OC search - toughcrittercrumb
I know I am rapid firing at you, but the power spread thing is interesting. Out of our candidate pool, the only one who really runs a power spread is Kiffin, and he's only done it for one year. Gilbert is veer and shoot. Helfrich is spread option. Riley is more of a pass-first guy. Cana...

Exactly my question. Is there no chance to get Riley? I like Canada but Riley has done it at a bigger program. If not Riley than Canada would be a great choice. ...

re: Canada's Offense: A Film Study - toughcrittercrumb
Jacoby Brissett was light years better at NCSU under Canada than he was at UF. At Wisky, we ran a successful offense under Bilema. Even had a Doak Walker award winner. My guess is that Canada is just making the most out of the talent he had at Pitt. He does run a ton of misdirection which is somethi...
