The original poster never said that the "legitimate" interest was derived from the statement the kid or parent made. More likely than not, the OP surmised the same thing as Ocean; that taking an unofficial to a picnic several states away is an indicator that there is some real interest. Either way, I'm glad he made the trip.

No, you missed the point, asshat. The kid has legit interest because he came to the event, not because he said he had a good time. Therefore, your argument is irrelevant as the interest was there before the comment was even made. And further, they all say they have a good time because they all likely do have a good time, being ushered around campus by high profile coaches and players and getting free food.
I don't give a shite what a 16 year old with no media training said via text to some nobody recruiting site writer that he doesn't know personally. The kid wanted to check out LSU and he did.
Are you seriously trying to say he doesn't have interest, because his response on how the trip went was too typical?

Don't know if he is quite the prospect KT2 is, but it's pretty much the consensus that he's an LSU lean at this point.

I know he's high as hell on LSU, but he's in Auburns back door and not far from Athens.

UVA is a big player in Taylor's recruitment, but Mike London probably won't even still be the coach on signing day 2016.

So it looks like the rankings have changed a little but I currently believe LSU gets 3 out of the top 7. Trayvon Mullen is a new name to add.

Definitely possible. Feel at least 2 in Fulton and Mullen(hell be a battle though) and could definitely see one of the other 5.
Smith-just have to press all year and see what happens. Kid is a stud. On par with Marshall and Toliver
Taylor-isnt happening. Will commit to UVA and if/when London is fired he will reopen but doubt we are a factor
Carter-we will try. Who knows but I tend to say he sticks with Bama
Broussard-not nearly the lock people thought he would be early. Lots of Auburn influence around and I think they are the favorite behind the scenes. Never know what will happen if Bama ever tries to get him. Also not sure we are all that high in him

Just saw the update on Ladler. Interested to see if we would accept him at this point. Wouldn't say no to him myself. Would make for an interesting situation with Fulton, Clay and Mullen. No way we take all 4 would we?
