I wish we would just take Chris Williams and Christine Michael, they seem like sure bets if there ever is any.

Chris Williams may not be the most gifted, Patrick Willis type but he is a Ali Highsmith bring it every down LB thats going to meet you at the line of scrimmage and not chase you down from behind like a Jacob Cutrera.

And Michael is the truth like Clean says.

That leaves room for Randle, Xavier Su'a Filo, Jamarkus McFarland and Mingo who we really want.

I also think Chris Garrett does the wise thing and recommits to MSU.

If I could pick the rest of the class I would go with:

Christine Michael
Rueben Randle
Rantavious Wooten (unless Debose committed)
Jamarkus McFarland
Darrington Sentimore
Chris Williams
CRAIG LOSTON*

other options:
Barkevious Mingo
Xavier Su'a Filo

eta: forgot about Loston

hmmmm...Seems like most think that both are better than Pratt and Ford...
Most that haven't seen Ford play.

Ford has looked really good too, and he's built like a rock.

Will it be incredibly dumb to pass up on the top RB in the state of Texas who wanted to come here because we thought we had an outside shot at a slightly better guy?
And what if LSU feels they already have two backs comparable to Micheal's level? That couldn't be possible. UT is passing on the top RB in the state of Texas as well, maybe there's something more to it than what Rivals' tells you. Nah, it's just that the staff is dumb.

I might shed a tear if we don't get Craig Loston.

Maybe he didn't have any real interest in UT?

Sorry, but the guy can flat out play. Saying he's not that good is dumb. Not taking his commitment would simply be passing up on a great player. The best RB in Texas.

Seriously, I'd say the list is dead-on if I could switch Loston with Mcfarland, and find a way to get Sentimore in the class. I just think we Mcfarland will sign with Texas. Of course, all things point to LSU besides mom, but she has a lot of say in his signature.

considering we're in the thick of it with Debose, i would pass on CM and CW for Debose. which would be leaving the class with Randle, Sentimore, McFarland, Sua'Filo, Debose and Mingo, with possibly Wilson coming in. i think you can say Loston is HEAVILY leaning towards LSU btw

Books, just let it go. Some of these posters have no common sense and are stubborn.

And just to throw something else in there, even if all 3 of our Junior RBs leave this year, the coaching staff is really high on Ridley and Murphy, not to mention it would allow Ford/Pratt to not having to worry about carrying the load. All the while, LSU can get another stud back in the entire RB class next year, which we lead with the best RB in the country next year right now. Getting TR would just be a "can't miss prospect" for the coaching staff.

He had UT as his no. 1 at the beginning until it was clear they weren't offering

Who said he's not that good? It's apparent that LSU already has two they feel are on his level, did you not read my post? Do you think LSU is passing on a kid they think is a great player just b/c? Use some common sense.

Mingo has a ton weight to put on his frame, he'll be an All SEC player for LSU

Do you want a fullback or youre saying thats what we end up with?

eta: anyway, I would be more than happy with that list minus Singleton although Im sure we would use him alot, theres just nothing appealing about a fullback. Much rather Michael.

We can find a fullback to walk on Im sure. I know for a fact we can find 1 fullback in this country that would be happy to walk on at LSU.

I didn't say he said he's "no good". Reading comprehension much? But he's acting like Michael isn't "Good enough" to play for us.

I don't think they're passing on him at all. I think he has a committable offer. If he chooses A & M over us, then so be it. But I doubt the staff is purposely passing on this guy.

Does having only 2 four star RBs coming in seem like the end of the world as you alluded to?

Sounds like something my wife would say - ie "putting words in my mouth" - quit being a woman
