I don't believe it. I believe there are noncommitable offers but i don't think they go to #6 rb's in the nation, who is already qualified.
les miles does not hand out his offers according to the rivals database. the coaches want trent richardson. they are willing to wait on him even if that means passing on others.

Who on hear knows for sure he does not have a CO ...post a link to the info too please
heres your info: lsu barely talked to him for months while a&m put the full court press on him and we are even-- or hes "just feeling lsu." that should make it pretty clear want he wants

(and for the record, i want c-mike, but my opinion means nothing)

interesting take philter and that seems possible

I honestly would like to see us land another back or 2, and Richardson/Michael are both great candidates.

I agree with you. About who you want.

He is not scheduled to visit before Aug. 29th, but he is deciding on that date...and he will not get an LSU offer until he does show real interest. When you add it all up, it doesn't seem likely at this point he's going to choose LSU.

He's amazing, I was wishing he'd get an offer back in April but it looks like they've made a decision against it at this point. Still a long way to go however, and if he has a great season (we'll surely see him live at those games) he could get recruited again and who knows if we could pull him at that point.

philter's post makes more sense than anything else I've seen on this topic in weeks.

Right now he does not have a CO. I doubt seriously that he will ever get one.

They need to take CM...seriously.

They too much risk not doing it. For one, TR might not decommit, then CM will stay true to his word, despite a LSU offer. Then you take the risk of not getting LS next year? Its all too risky, take the guy you know you can get right now, I seriously don't understand what the coaching staff sees in TR over CM. This is going to be the worst miss for us this class if we don't get CM IMO...

Why would he show interest in LSU if they aren't showing him interest? You actually, you know, have to get a CO before you get excited about a college. Hes doing this as a ultimatum, LSU offer me or I'm going to TAMU.

I can only assume that the staff knows something about TR that we don't. I certainly hope so. Because if we don't land CM or LS next year...

neither offer is commitable at this point or both would be commits

This is BS. Maybe they just don't want to commit until they feel like it? Stupid to believe the top RB and top LB in Texas doesn't have a committable offer from us. It's committable...

I don't follow recruiting as much as you guys do but I think Miles & Co. are master recruiters. Here's my take on this. Miles & Co. feel really good about Lache next year. They also will have at least two of RM/KW/CS on the roster plus Ridley in 2009. They have a commitment from Calhoun and Ford and they have interest from Eddie Lacy and Christine Michael. Plus, I think they have decent intel that they can shake TR away from Bama.

Michael is trying to force LSU's hand here by setting a deadline. I like the kid and he really wants to be here but Miles & Co. might have him ranked behind Lacy and Richardson. I doubt Miles & Co. blink at CM's bluff. CM will "commit" to A&M.

If Lacy doesn't qualify and TR remains committed to Saban later in the game, Les can smooth things over with Michael.

Books, I have no inside info one way or another... where is the info on a non-commitable offer coming from... Mike? Sonny? Shea? Someone inside the program?

And why is it BS? Just because they are among the top players in Texas doesn't mean they have CO. Coaches have grades for recruits on their board, I'll give you a example:

Lets say, TR and CM

They might have CM graded higher than TR with athletic ability, burst, hands but they might have TR graded higher in everything else, like scheme, power, etc and not having him sitting far behind CM in the other grades, therefore he grades out much higher than CM.

None of us may see it but each coaching staff likes certain guys. Perhaps TR is the "power" back Les wants because we know he loves them and has a hardon for powerful backs. Therefore, he may fit into our scheme much better than CM according to the coaches.

CM does not have a CO from what I know...
