Simmons can be compared to Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks

Simmons much better passer and ball handler. he's closer to michael carter-williams if we are talking Bucks.

For the posters laughing, magic johnson played pg at that size. Now i dont think simmons will play point guard but he is a guy that will have the ball in his hands as much as possible. Like many have said a point forward like player.

he's not going to be a one. I think you would agree with that?

he's not going to guard other team's ones either.

He'll be a 3/point forward. he'll bring the ball up some and he'll facilitate some offense, but he's not going to run the point full time

Yes they are.

They aren't exact copies of each other, but Simmons and LBJ def have some similarities, especiallly in size, ball handling ability, vision and passing, unselfish and make the right basketball play, etc. I mean there aren't but a few guys that possess their size and have the ability to be the primary ball handler and bring the ball up the floor. And they both impact games in a big way and in all categories.

Simmons isn't as big of a freak as LBJ was in high school, still an excellent athlete though. He's not as explosive (nobody is), but is a little more smoother than LBJ was in high school.

Simmons isn't a close of LBJ, but they do have some some similar traits that are pretty rare.

What makes you think he can't run it full time?

A point forward is a player having the SIZE to play a forward position coupled with the BALLHANDLING skills of a POINT Guard. This person can create his own shot, create shot for others, break down a defense and is a facilitator. And in CRUNCH time control the game from anywhere on the court.

Rondo has a post game. Westbrook has a post game. Deron Williams has a post game.
Mark Jackson had a post game.
Gary Payton had a post game.

You don't have to give up your post game to play point.

Yeah. But those guys post up other guards. Simmons should be able to post up post players.

Why not let him play his first minute of college basketball before making ridiculous conjecture.

Why not stick him at the 3 after he develops his shot? Then you'd have TWO guys on the floor who can dribble up the court, or if you want to go three Gaurds he can still play the 3 and allow you to have 2 bigs plus simmons.

You're underthinking it.

So many teams play small ball right now he presents the biggest mismatch at the 4. He'll be a hybrid

Of course he isn't going to guard other team's PG. He's 6'8".

but he will most definitely play a ton of PG on offense like Lebron does. He's the Cavs primary ball handler. Simmons has the ball handling talent to be the same way. Fact.
