I'll take the Ben Simmons proposition for $1000, Alex.

Any coach will tell you there is nothing more intimidating and difficult to prepare for and defend against than a big (6-8 or bigger) point guard. Simmons is one of those guys, a once in a decade type talent who at his size can play the position.

So, Newman wants to play PG in college. Everyone is holding onto the Kentucky PG situation as why he may come here, but what about if he isn't the PG here?

Oh, so you expect Simmons to play PG for the first time at the NBA level?

That's pretty cool. There are probably tons of teams in the NBA that run the triangle offense huh?

Also. You guys keep talking about 6'8 PGs are awesome and everyone is scared of them and blahh blahh.. How many 6'8 PGs are there in the NBA? Or how many 6'8 PGs have there ever been in the NBA besides Magic? Serious question.

The point is that IF there is only one guy to ever be a successful 6'8+ PG in the NBA it seems pretty stupid to assume Simmons could be a 6'9-6'10 PG in the NBA.

I didn't say one. You did. which means you don't know who Penny Hardaway or Shaun Livingston are, for starters. Believe there was a guy named Marco Jaric who played a while as well as a few others that I'd have to think about. What's stupid is me still responding to anything you say. Maybe there hasn't been many successful 6'8 PG's because not too many 6'8 guys play like a PG.
