Mj

My McCoullagh 5500w does not start anymore. I'm pretty sure it's a clogged carb.
Do they make kits for it?

yeah that's really cool of you. We had two this morning but both had issues, so now we just have one.

One of them is blowing gas through a valve, so it is shot.
I went to start it and gas came spraying out of the Crankcase ventilation hose. Removed the valve cover and it's just shooting out of the exhaust valve not into the exhaust out of the valve as it goes up to open. Never seen anything like it.

I expect some sort of sucker of the year droppie from this come droppie time.

You have me email address,it will be much easier for me to discuss your problem over the phone and have images texted to me to verify what kind of system you have.

Nice gesture.

I still think you should charge a little. I encourage anyone who takes mj2 up on his offer to donate some money to his PayPal account.

I had that problem yesterday. I simply removed the bowl under the carborator and cleaned with starter fluid. I had to remove crank cover to remove it and had to remove carborator to put all back together. Just be careful when removing parts, there is a spring under the float in the bowl. It will fall out and get easily lost.

It took me about an hour to do it yesterday, but I could do it in about 10 mins now, pretty simple.

edit - plus I changed the spark plug
