They are some of the simplest designs. Why are they so expensive?

Well the c2 and xebex are considered commercial equipment and are the cheapest commercial cardio equipment available.

But to answer your question...supply and demand especially considering both are made in China. Rower, air bike and Versa climber are way more expensive than they should be, but it's simply supply and demand.

On Black Friday getrxd usually has the xebex rower and air bike for 599 each on pre order. Takes 2 months to come in but worth it for the savings. It's how I picked. It's mine up.

There's a Sunny tower in chalmette for 200 or a concept in Covington for 950.

There is a Model D listed for $750 in Gulfport as well as one in Covington. Keep searching craigslist for rower and sometimes you can find them for under $500.

Yea I love mine. I used a concept 2 for a long time and I think the xebex has a better build quality to it but the concept 2 monitor is light years ahead, atleast the newest monitor is.

I have the xebex bike too and it's better than the assualt bike in every way except the handles swoop a little too much. Monitor is even better and the xebex is a thousand times better than my airdyne.

My gym has two Life Fitness rowers. Those things must cost at least a couple grand each.

Even the life fitness rowers are cheap compared to their other cardio equipment. Like the cybex arc trainer is 4K plus, same with a Jacobs ladder and the precor treadmills are 5k plus.

The bad arse athletic training treadmills like woodway are 6k plus. Assualt fitness who make the assualt bike just came out with one for 4K plus that essentially is a still even at that price.

Most gyms get their machines free if they buy the cardio equipment that's why you see one manufacture now in a gym and why most gyms sucks major arse now a days.

That's a good deal. I got a 2nd gen Model D with low meters for $250 on craigslist and found a Model C without a monitor for $30 at a garage sale. More people look these days, but you can still find them occasionally.

Rowers are cheap, I'm pretty sure the commercial grade treadmills, ellipticals and step mills are like $10k each.

A $1k c2 that you can buy for your home is pretty much the same model they have in gyms. A $1k home treadmill will be dogshit.

4-7 depending on what piece it is.

And if y'all think rowers are expensive go look at the versaclimber and its price.

The Versaclimber is the best piece of cardio equipment period. Expensive as hell, but my favorite. If you can find a used one at a gym closing sale, snatch it up.

That's ridiculous on that. I need to learn to weld and build my own stuff and sell it

Will be getting a versa climber eventually. I agree it one of the best pieces money can buy.

And hu, I'm gonna be building a lot of my equipment in my new gym.95% will just be based off current best of the best pieces that I can improve a little or not cost my self 5k. Won't be doing any cardio equipment though, rather just buy that.
