I came to post the same. This sucks. I may do Squatober anyways.

If we start Pool Season on Monday, we will finish just in time for this one.

Scared me.

Just finished running DB Strength for the 2nd time. Did a light workout with barbell today to get ready for Pool Season. Can definitely tell my maxes dropped some. But ready for day one of PS Monday!

Had to start pool season today. I enjoyed the light squat workout, bench was easy. I hate shoulder supersets. They burn more than anything, but the pump is real.

Unless you have a back injury, I bet that DL number is about to blow up

I do 10lb for squat/deadlifts. 5 for bench. 60lbs in a year for bench is a lot

Yea that’s what I try to remind myself. Only 5# or 10# a month doesn’t seem like much, but year 60# on bench and 100+# on squat would be a lot in a year.

My body is ready!

As far as the maxes go I don’t think it’s THAT critical. If they’re set too low you just go heavier on fill in the blank exercises cause you’re not dead and then smash them when you test next.

I started my first PPSA Sept 22 after taking 6 months off deadlifting, rowing, and squatting due to a back injury. My 1RMs were 245B, 225S, 265D. Going into Pool Season after 7 months of PPSA lifting, my 1RMs are now 290B/335S/375D even tho I’m 35lbs lighter. That’s an extreme case because I was definitely babying my back initially.

Ready to go!! I'm gonna be in a heavy deficit next 4 weeks though for a vacation end of april, hopefully doesn't hinder me.

I ran Strongville for Jan in a 1.5lb/week deficit. I also did cardio on the rest days. It sucked, but I found that it was doable if i ate enough of my daily calories before and after lifting (like 8-900 calories and a lot of my daily carbs), and went hard on caffeine after lifting for the month. Pool Season should be a lot easier to handle.

I printed it out just now in b&w. Looks like I can use the cover as a coloring page too during recovery :)

I keep mine all in a binder and put the cover on the front.

I stopped printing the first few pages. Grasshopper cover probably used up half my new ink cartridge

W1D1 tomorrow, pumped! Looks like a pretty heavy volume day, finishing with sets of 10 sounds tough
