H&F April Program Party: PPSA Pool Season

Voting is complete and the program for April is Pen & Paper Strength App- Pool Season

about the program- Barbell based- can be used any level and pretty much any gym. 4 days a week.

Pool Season has squats, bench 2x per week, deadlifts 1x week, and shoulder work every single day as it’s accessory focus. It is set up with “Big Bench Monday" "Strong Back Tuesday" "Big Squat Thursday" and "Big Pump Friday" each week, but the exercises and rep/weight ranges vary.

for recovery- i suggest 30m walking daily or 10k steps.

Pumped! Gonna be running with the following 1RPM numbers (be kind, I’m not the strongest but decent for weighing 170#):

-Bench - 265
-Squat - 315

255 Squat

265 Deadlift

205 Bench

Edit to add updated numbers from strengthlevel's calculator.

These are a touch higher than actual weight moved and based off reps/weights tested 3/31.

On the last day of 21 to party, I was doing bench press I felt my shoulder pain again. I had been pushing it hard and I know it is messed up. I had bad pain for several weeks. It is just now starting to be pain free, so to hell with bench press, I will stick with dumbbell press
