W4d4 completed. I pyramided up on bench 55,60,65,70,70% rather than trying to bench without warming up too much. I went heavier than I should have on the rows but made it through. The logistics of moving everything around and setting it all up was the worst part in my tiny gym space.

So just bought this since PPSA seems so popular on the board. Just skimming through it and one question I have is how do you all figure the weight to use for the exercises where only reps are listed? Seems they list a percent for just one or two of the main exercises. Do you use the same percentage for the others or do you just pick a weight that you think you can get for the amount of reps maybe falling a few reps short of failure or what?

this and then we add weight if we make the reps. usually going up 2.5 lbs when we make the required reps. when we cant add any more, we take off 10-15% and take last set to failure and set a rep pr. then continue adding the 2.5lbs and repeating process.

on a montly basis most of us

-use a 90% of 1 rep max as our training max to calculate weights.

- we add 10lbs to lower body lifts, 5 lbs to upper body lifts after each monthly program.

-continue adding weight on a monthly basis like this until you can no longer add weight and fail. when that happens....move training max back 3 months(30lbs on lower, 15 on upper) and start over. try to get 5 months forward for every 3 months backwards.

essentially its the 531 progression jim wendler has written about many times.
