Beat the game. tedious at times though. And the only glitch I had/have is that the music from fighting a legendary ship is on full time now that shite won't go off

Haven't gotten Ps4 yet. I did try the online for PS3 though, & it was pretty fun. Feel like it could be really fun with a group of friends.

I'm liking this game very early on. They let you right in to start exploring. Overall this game is beautiful even though facial textures are still bad. A lot of the mechanics are improved such as fighting, free running and climbing. I like that climbing is easier to do but I hope there are still climbing puzzles like AC2 had. So far all the viewpoints were straight forward. Early on I am bothered by the fact that if I screw up in stealth, which isn't hard since no assassin can duck behind things apparently, you can just counter your way out the situation.

is there any advantage to desynching and going to the abstergo building? i know it made you do it once in the beginning of the story.

Im gonna give it a shot, I came close on ac2. its hard to get 100% sync on the missions. One thing they need to do a better job of is tell you what the side missions are in the main mission.

The 100% in missions is where I know I won't do it. They don't tell you at all and some of it just doesn't seem worth it. I have not reached 100% in a game, AC2 was as close as I got, I just didn't collect all the feathers.

I hate the optional objective to "avoid combat." There needs to be some vast improvements to stealth for me to care about that.

Couldn't agree more. The stealth mechanics suck overall but why care? I can still defeat a crowd of 20 one at a time.

TBH, the optional mission have been really easy so far.

If anything, for me, its too easy.

You can sit in a haystack and grab someone and pull them in, all right in front of another dude.

Why can't an assassin duck behind a low wall? But I can hide In some thin vegetation... I also don't like that if I want to jump off a wall I basically have the option of jumping 10 feet or dangling. There is no light jump off the wall on to your feet.

Since there is no mission log on screen really, I have to press start and check. When you start a mission it doesn't always tell you what your optional objectives are.

I agree there need to be improvements to the stealth ability. AC2 had it perfect with distractions and stuff you can create. I feel like they've taken much of that out of the game. Its become more run and gun, kill people as assassin-like as you can now. Restricted areas are far too tough to make it through without getting into a battle.

About the fighting mechanics. I really hate how you can be surrounded by 4 or 5 enemies and only one will attack at once and all you're basically doing is just countering their move. That needs to be tweaked a little.

That said, I love the game and series

exactly. Those type of battles the game should teach you to just run away and become incognito like in AC1. Stay and fight and you die, unless its a fight you think you can win

That being said, I still love this game. I'm trying to pace myself because also playing wind waker may burn me out on the open waters

I actually didn't know that (being able to do that while another guard can see). I've been focused on trying to be too discreet, and hate the inability to use other elements of the environment for stealth, instead of relying on specific places that trigger auto crouch/hide/lean. And also, I like violence in my games. It was painful to know that I needed to be non-lethal in Dishonored to get the "good" ending, all while tempting you with so many lethal options. Same for Deus Ex.

And yeah, the combat is pretty fun, less clunky than previous games. Imagine an Arkham game where you're challenged to avoid fighting the random thugs.
