I beat the game last night. Overall, I'd say I had a good time with it. It's not as polished, but I thought it was more fun than Dragon Age Inquisition. They are actually very similar games outside of the combat. The exploration element just makes more sense in a game like Andromeda.
Your crew members are fun to get to know. I actually like Ryder more than Sheppard. Drack is probably the best Krogan party member. Jaal was my favorite overall. I liked Cora and Peebee, but they made poor love interests.
I didn't think there was enough diversity in the new galaxy. It was basically Khett, Remnant, and Angara outside of the Initiative. I hope future games introduce new species, but it just seems odd that other races were never seen anywhere. I get the feeling that the Angara aren't as advanced technologically as the species that populate the Milky Way Galaxy.
I wasn't a fan of how the game ends. The ending was pretty abrupt and didn't feel much more satisfying than completing a random side quest. I get the idea though. It feels like an Elder Scrolls game where the main quest is just one of many that you can do in the game. The end of the main story is a set up to continue traveling the galaxy completing side quests and leaves the door open for future story-based DLC.
The gameplay is the best part of the game. I've been playing a bit of Mass Effect 1 as well, and Andromeda plays like a better realized version of that game. The third person shooter elements mixed with RPG-like character progression and loot is a fun mix. Exploring the planets in the Nomad was much better the original game. There are fewer planets to explore obviously but they're much more fully realized, and there's more to see/do on each of them.
I'll play the next game in the franchise if/when it is released; however, BioWare would be wise to realize that bigger is not always better. The huge number of missions and activities outside of the main story didn't always mesh well. You could sometimes do certain side missions that talked about things that hadn't yet happened in the main story, and a lot of the missions that you do are just busy work. I much prefer a smaller, more focused world. We don't have to have 500 side quests if only 10-15 of them are worth doing. Focus on telling a good main story and make the side missions that are there are fun, interesting, and tie into the overarching story.

I think this is due to the fact that the game doesn't span the entire galaxy like ME 1-3, it is limited to a small, isolated corner of the galaxy. Future games will surely expand to new territory and new species will be discovered, in keeping with the theme of exploration and discovery.

Voeld...I cant get away from it. Slowly crawling around forever in the stupid Nomad. I hated the Mako and feel the same on the Nomad.
Its a decent game, but its not a game that I can play for hours a day due running all over the map.

At least the Mako had weapons. Also when you ran something over it had an effect. In Andromeda, I see a squad of Kett tightly grouped and try to run into them like a bowling ball. Well, all that happens is that I roll over them like they're a rock. Meanwhile they open fire and light me up.

After the last patch every time I go to the back of the ship Sam tells me "you have a new e-mail pathfinder" even though I don't. It's aggravating as frick.

I finally finished, so I can join this conversation without spoilers. I have a few gripes, but mostly see the game as a positive addition to the universe.
Negative #1. Antagonist was weak. I never felt an overwhelming threat from the Kett. They were everywhere, but mostly just an annoyance. The final boss battle was basically hordes of things that we already know how to beat.
Negative #2. The Scourge. It didn't really fit into the central game plot, and was mainly just an environmental concern. They didn't explain anything about it, and I'm not entirely sure if powering up the Meridian has eliminated it. I may have to load up the game and see if it's still there.
Negative #3. Some crew members are boring. I dislike Liam the most (although his loyalty mission was a blast). Cora, Vetra, Gil, Kallo are boring characters. SAM is pretty boring too, and was basically just a narrative device. Suvi is
Negative #4. I can't control my squad. My squad mostly served as a distraction for the enemy while Ryder inflicted most of the damage. I also hate that I can't customize squadmate powers.
Negative #5. Scanning planets serves no purpose. It's not fun, and you never discover anything interesting. I get no joy from exploring solar systems :(
Positive #1. Some crew members are amazing. I loved Jaal and Peebee. My initial impression of Peebee was bad, but the character really grew on me. Drack is an awesome dude. Lexi is nice too, I guess, lol.
Positive #2. Combat seems to be an improvement, in spite of Negative #4.
Positive #3. Ryder's power customization. It's amazing how many powers your Ryder can learn, and with a little practice you can use up to 12 different powers in combat.
Positive #4. Reverse Geth. It will be interesting to see where they go with this.
Positive #5. Nomad. I love driving the Nomad.
Positive #6. No Mass Effect 3 references. I was afraid the new trilogy would try to force acceptance Star Child and our Reaper saviors. They only made a few references to Shepard's story, and those were perfect.
Positive #7. Weapon and armor customization. I love sniping Kett with my custom electrified Charger. I really need to more options.
I have one last question about the game, and I'm planning to google it. Who is the benefactor? Did I miss something?

Needed Alec Ryder to be the main character.

I think they need to fix how the Back Up Life Support Consumable works. Not sure if it even works at all, but it would be extremely helpful on Voeld. Especially for the Architect battle.

Yeah, it's still annoying though. Took me 2 tries to take it down because I got distracted and caught too far away from shelter the first time while clearing remnant (squadmates were worthless.)

It's not revealed, that's a story for another time. A lot of people have inferred that it is the Illusive Man. Not sure if that's correct, but it's as good a guess as any.

I think it's the illusive man. I also think Cora is related to him but never knew how evil he was

I think they do a pretty good job overall, but it gets annoying how they teleport to you. Like when you're trying to run away from enemy fire, you turn around and both AI party members magically teleport halfway across the map, dragging all the enemies over to your location.

lol saw that earlier on the reddit page.
Garrus would sure be doing me a favor, that peebee bitch is out of control.
I would pay big money for bioware to cryo freeze Shepard, Miranda, Garrus and Grunt. I'm not a fan of the new characters other than Drack, and I'm having withdrawals from Miranda's fine end. Would love to see it in 4k for the next installment.

this is easily the worst game ive ever played. The graphics are ps3 level. The characters are poorly drawn. The normal walk is some kind of awkward swaying motion at approximately 1.5 miles an hour. To run, you have to mash the l stick the whole time and it only goes like 25% faster.
there's no map
the start menu is laughably horrible looking
the aiming interface is like the old tempest game from the 80's
you basically jump from rock to rock and each one is slippery so you fall off often
every time you search something it brings up a menu of whatever was in it that pauses the game and you have to select what to pick up
this is literally a ps3 or possibly ps2 game that they ported to ps4
