I'm not canceling my pre-order but I'm glad I just got the standard edition with the Prime Savings discount.

$47 isn't bad. And the multiplayer is legit so I'll be hammering that anyway

Not that I always agree with reviewers, but I am dismayed by a 6. I'll still get it, but instead of this week, I'll be waiting for a discount.

I mean the average score is a 75 and I've seen a lot of 8's. If the worst rpg they've ever made is a 75 that's petty phenomenal

I won't be cancelled my pre-order or anything. Living up to the original trilogy is quite a tall order, and I applaud the new developers for trying something different with Andromeda. That said, I've played a bit of the trial and there's some aspects that just don't work well or are annoying.

I just hope this game doesn't sour people on the franchise.

Mass Effect is my game, so Im getting it regardless and decide for myself. I'll go down with the ship. MP is where I spent most of my ME3 time.

I can understand the light fans of the series holding off though.

Was thinking the same.

May need to bring back Shepard in Mass Effect 4 The Lazarus Project 2.0.

I would like to know what becomes of the Milky Way Galaxy 600 years into the future. This game may or may not answer some of that, but given the huge time jump, you have to think we'll encounter those left behind at some point assuming they keep making these games.

I dont think it will turn people off. There are a number of series of games in which there are valleys and peaks.

I personally do not care about the facial expressions. They are quite bad, but ME never had amazing ones.

The game play and story is what I got the game for.

Yes, this is a clear step back, but some of the best games I have played in my life have bricks for characters.

Look what Unity did to Assassin's Creed. Now I don't think ME Andromeda is near the mess that Unity was upon release, but they are receiving comparable review scores.

I don't blame AC on unity I blame it on a new game being released every year.

Never understand the "turn off" because a new game sucks. Isn't going to somehow erase the awesome time I had playing 1-3 twice.

I like how a game scoring a 75 on metacritic has people saying "lol frick EA". From what I've seen and played that feels like an accurate score. Obviously I'd loved if it had scored higher but 75 is respectable.

The problem is that it's not the different story causing the issues; it's basic development problems. Bad animations and dialogue, screen tearing, distance draw glitches, and other graphical glitches.... when the series is so popular, it's really shitty that the developer is putting out such an unpolished game. I'm glad I didn't pre-order, and I think I'm going to wait for a few good patches to come through to see if they can clear up some of the issues. I'm still re-playing the original trilogy anyway.

As a Mass Effect fan, that is unacceptable. It also unacceptable to release a game like this with as many technical flaws as this one has.

It seems Bioware was more concerned with conveying their own political philosophies than actually creating a quality title. Which shouldn't be surprising, given that Manveer Heir was the lead designer on this game.
