My step-brother throws a stick of butter in the pot. I've done it a few times and I didn't think that it did much for the crawfish but I felt like it added something to the corn and potatoes.

I have a hard time believing a stick of butter makes a difference in 40 or so quarts of water

If I see someone put mustard in the pot that's going to be a wrap for me... Time to pack it up and head home.

I don't think this does much.

Neither do I. I think a lot of people miss the mark with everything they add.

Citrus (fruit or concentrate) and Celery (real or salt) in addition to whatever your favorite spice mix is what I use. I add garlic as well because I like to eat and save the cloves to cook with later.

Quit putting all kinds of shite in it

Powder
Liquid
Potatoes
Lemons

Crawfish
Corn

Remove

Clean them, don't overcook, soak.

There are 4 things that can take a good boil and make it a great boil:
1. Weather
2. Quality beer
3. Great music
4. Quality boiled sides. I like the veggies almost as much as the crawfish. Brussel Sprouts, Mushrooms, broccoli, onions, garlic, corn, and potatos all become amazing in crawfish boil.

Wash wash wash wash wash wash wash wash. Waters clear. Wash a few more times

Don't dilute down your seasoning.

"I don't know why they're not spicy I used X amount of crab boil"

Yes amateur. You had wayyy more water than you needed and it diluted it all down

You can have 10 people over for a crawfish boil and 9 out of the 10 will have a different way of doing it and their version is better
