You may not be aware, but that's illegal.
Found this with a couple of clicks through google.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that paused when they saw that...

if this guy's opening a daiquiri shop that sells "sammiches" and he's seriously considering serving any kind of beer other than BMC then he needs to be shot for lack of common sense. his clientele will not support craft beer enough to warrant having it take up tap space.
For 11 taps in this establishment I'd go with what Jones said. Beer geeks aren't going to go to this place anyways.

I'd like to know what kind of sammiches he'll be serving up

What would you order?
gumbos, bisques, good seafood, salad, sweet potato fries, burgers with good bread (not crap you buy at grocery store) cooked to order, etc.

Isn't that the truth.
Bidness people and craft brewers don't seem to be a synonymous term.

You asked for a kick in the nuts and I said I'd oblige. That's customer service if I've ever heard it.
I haven't broken any laws, well with regards to this situation, push the limit maybe but not broken.
I'm sure you know more about everything than everyone else on here by the answers you've made in this thread.

Rouge the thread is about beer buddy. I meant what beer would you order?
As far as the food we aren't the same genre as Sammy's. We make sandwiches

The idea is to appeal to the widest base possible. So if 2 of 11 are for the geeks and they stay for that 3rd pint it's worth having.
Is that enough common sense to keep from getting shot?

If you hire extremely hot bartenders, you could probably do without these

Nooley's? As in the place with the curley fries that I used to eat at as a kid?

I'm not overly familiar with craft beer availabity in BR. If a place has 2 good to decent taps, but has a majority of shite taps, then it better be very close to my house. I'm not traveling to a bar for 2 good beer options, to be next to the Rugby Team who's drinking out of the pitcher.
Be good at 1 thing instead of mediocre at a few things.

You have to take into account that the beer geek culture has a lot to do with the atmosphere of the establishment. Not only do they want the option of drinking something besides BMC, they want the option of drinking many different craft beers (this is also a lynchpin of socializing in these settings - it stimulates conversation) and in some cases not even have BMC or BMC-type clientele at the bar.

To deny a daiquiri/sammich shop in BR BMC taps, is laughable. I love craft brews as much as many and support them when possible, but telling a guy who is probably leveraging his restaurant w/ lots of debt or his own personal money that he shouldn't put them in because they aren't as profitable or that he is wasting good tap space is just bad advice.
The craft brew market is still very much a niche and even more so in BR than many places. I'm just not sure why anybody would choose to neglect such a large segment of the market. Places like Avenue pub and The Cove have developed a very loyal clientele that supports them, but I'm sure as hell not starting out that way.
Suggesting that BMC on tap will provide a lesser clientele? woah.
