I'm still reading this thread and it's been months. A nod to the grand dad flight I had from barrel proof

Ha! Thanks unc! The engagement happened last night.. and the late night and excessive celebrating didn't allow me to get my pour in last night. Making up for it tonight. And damn it is delicious!

Congrats Pearls, I'll have a pour of Rhetoric for ya.

And 3Hour, not sure if it's lore accessible than here (being that it's distributed in Japan), but I would be interested in tracking down some Four Roses Super Premium. I've always wanted to at least try it. Only seen one of them in person....behind locked glass at the Four Roses Distillery.

My brother-in-law recently moved to Germany. He's stationed there for the next three years ( ). What should I tell him to be on the look out for out there? Obviously Blantons SFTB & gold. What else?

I just started making old fashions at home, my recipe is about 6 dashes of peychauds bitters, tsp of sugar, little water, muddle, slice of Orange peel, muddle about 6 times, smash a masarchino cherry, ice, then bulleit rye. Am I missing anything? Suggestions for improvement? So far this combination has been the best tasting to me.

Anyone that has had it, is the Midwinter Night's Dram worth the price tag? Thanks

Absolutely in my book. Spent between 75-85 for my 3 bottles. And was well worth it. Act 2.10 is my preference that I've tasted thus far.
