Any of you guys tried anything from High West?

Local store has a bottle of Bourye for $80 I've been eyeing , thoughts?

Always pick up a couple of bottles when I go skiing.

Love the Rendezvous Rye. Good stuff. Last trip I was loaded, walking back to the condo... slipped on some ice and my bottle flew out the bag and broke on the sidewalk. Very depressing.

Boost sucks when a bottle is dropped. I have had that happen once...lucky it was just a bottle of 151 back in the day when we were making some flaming dr peppers (goldmine style lol)

Thanks Dude...I only been at it for a short while, some I paid msrp some was not. Not the best investment $ wise but makes me happy to know I have a stock pile of what I think are some fantastic bourbons.

You might be surprised about how good of an investment it could become...keep in mind after 2014, the Pappy 23's won't be all Stitzel-Weller juice (there will be some BT included)...so yours will increase in value...others in that bunch too (JPS 18, and especially that Hirsch 16 when you get your hands on it)...

And bourbon doesn't seem to be slowing in popularity...demand could surpass supply even more. Cost of crops & production could go up, etc (though as we know that changed in the 70's & 80's)

Not saying it's better than smart stock plays, but I believe a collection like that is more of an investment than it may seem.

drockwl that is true and I have thought about that. The thing is I might have a hard time letting it go...I want to drink it all lol. Now if it gets like real high and I can put a pool in my yard for it...then maybe lol.

Here is a quick teaser pic. I have singles at my house but the cabinet is not that big so I have any duplicates in my office. I am building a house soon that will have a better bar area then I can store it all there. I have them in boxes but I stuck them on the floor for this pic...dont want employees walking in and giving me a crazy look because I have this all over my desk lol

I'll get some more of the full collection

Lol, well the only thing I have that I'd try to get rid of is some woodford reserve 4 wood. But it's opened, had 2 glasses and just can't get into it.

Now I might be able to get my hands on some angels envy rye if your interested.
