Looking to find a fresh off boat market in NOLA.
Black drum, redfish, trout, etc...

Hong Kong Market....tuna is often $8.99/lb. Sorry, also on the West Bank.

Can't believe how expensive fish is now. Rouse's had redfish filets for $19.99/lb. That's just insane. Double the price of tuna for redfish.

Yes the prices are unbelievable. We live in new Orleans. Absolutely no reason we shouldn't have dirt cheap local fish.

The farmer's markets (Saturday at Girod and Magazine and Tuesday at Uptown Square) usually have a fish lady. She often has crabs, drum, etc... Once she had some fresh squid that was fantastic, but its a once in a blue moon thing.

Definitely the best place for fresh fish in New Orleans area.

And to the poster that mentioned tuna for $9.99/lb, most likely you are buying thawed out ,imported, and treated (for color retention) tuna.
