I've been trying to convince people to put a Steak 'n Shake near campus for years..open 24hrs. $$

Not just off Essen, but didn't they used to have a Brewpub somewhere in that shopping center off College where Fox and The Hound used to be? I'm almost positive they did, I remember going and seeing all the pipes and stuff but I was too young to try the beer.

I know I'm not imagining this, or at least I don't think I am.

This is the answer if you want to be successful. With all the Nola kids at LSU, a 24 hour Buds close to Tigerland would be very successful IMO.

I'm all about a food truck these days. Less initial investment and easy to change the menu if it isn't working out.

Whoever said Popeyes is right. However, they did finally reopen the one on Burbank near Bluebonnet.
