It's not that I can't get enough of a food so much as once I take a bite of certain things, I can't resist another bite etc...

I also have warm good bread and softened butter addiction syndrome. If you put it in front of me, I'm not likely to exercise much in the way of self control. I just pray that the appetizer comes quickly because that stops me in my tracks. I can make a meal of warm bread and butter, easily.

Same with fresh hot thin crispy tortilla chips and good salsa or guac. If the guac is good, the quality of the chips may not even matter. One bite and it's downhill all the way and again, I pray that the first course or entree arrives quickly. I eat that stuff automatically without even knowing what I'm doing. It's like I go into a trance and my hand moves to my mouth outside of my reality. I suddenly look down and see the dent I've made. Then, I get angry and cast another spell on Otis. That always makes me feel better.

I've gotten to where I like a very simple guac, although I'm not above mixing in some pico on occasion, but avo, lime juice, onions, a little salt and cilantro will do it for me. I have some ripe avos and I really wish I hadn't thought about this.

There are lots of things I could eat all day long, but if I had to pick one item that I am powerless against, it would be cashews. I had to stop buying them because I would eat them all in one sitting.

This is pretty much the ideal for me, but I'm tossing in some garlic and peppers as well. I generally eschew tomato in mine. I also go relatively heavy on the onion as I like the bite. Obviously I'm biased as I make it perfectly suited for my tastes, but I think it's damn good

I'm with you on the onion crunch and burst, but I don't go too heavy when I'm making a simple version.

I crave Vietnamese food all day everyday. I could eat a good bowl of pho for breakfast and a banh mi for lunch everyday for the rest of my life and never get tired of it.
