Hamburger steaks with brown onion gravy, mashed potatoes, purple hull peas and roasted corn on the cob.

Nothing better than a life in the south.

I made Donald Link's pork roast (from the TD cookbook) with rice and gravy, purple hull peas and tomato and cucumber salad. Had some for late lunch, will have again for supper later.

Shrimp and mushroom broth with ramen noodles. First time we tried the recipe, will be going into the rotation.

I did up some chicken packed up in olive oil sous vide style, basically a confit, for lunch earlier. I'm gonna blowtorch the leftover piece real good and make a chicken caesar with it. Got some fresh corn on the cob to turn into just cob, too.

EDIT: Oh yeah, got some vanilla ice cream to settle down with after I watch True Detective.
